[ joe paces helplessly, on edge, every so often running his hands over his shorn hair. it's so short there isn't a hint of curl pattern any longer, just a layer of fuzz. his first though hadn't been to the indignity of having his head shaved without his consent, but that nicky would mourn the loss of his curls.
