[ Homelander has never felt so vulnerable before, and he's already sick of it. He doesn't like this scar on the back of his head. He's not happy that they shaved his hair. Looking in the mirror and seeing tiny scars from needles when there's no way any needle should have been able to pierce him gives him no shortage of distress.
All things considered, he's still better off than an ordinary human. He has some remnant of his strength and durability, though it's nothing compared to what it used to be, and they were kind enough to leave him one power.
Still, he can't help but feel like a predator that's been turned into prey, and adjusting to unpleasant circumstances isn't his strong suit.
He's so stressed that the implant in his chest is constantly glowing, trying to access power that is no longer there, or firing off his one remaining power against his will. ] How do I turn this damn thing off?
[ He finally decides to strike up a conversation with one of his fellow Displaced, because eventually he's going to have to leave the safehouse and he doesn't want to be glowing all the time. ]

[ Who did this goon work for, and what did he do to make Homelander aware of his criminal activities? That's not important.
What is important is that Homelander successfully pinned him down to the ground with both arms behind his back. Normally he wouldn't need backup, but, well, this isn't normal. ]
Hey! Help me bring this punk in, will you?
[ Is he still playing the good hero part, or did he just want an excuse to beat someone up? A little of both. ]

Just out of curiosity: did most of you have powers before you got here, or is this new to you?

[ anything goes, or feel free to hit me up by PM or at dandymott to plot! also as a general note: his current canon point is at the end of S1, so don't worry about S2 spoilers. ]
