"Sounds like my kind of person. If he makes his way here, you gotta introduce me."

But for now, Ellie was more than content to hang out with Isabela. She folded her hands on the tabletop, smiling at Isabela's clapping -- Ellie was apparently a sucker for praise.

She considered each of the suggestions in turn, tapping her fingers on the tabletop -- and as she did she smoothly covered her left hand with the palm of her right, but if Isabela was quick she'd notice her ring and pinky fingers were almost completely missing on her left hand, healed but still tender.

"An easy living, easy entertainment- I mean, you're right." Ellie shrugged, but something about the tightness in the edges of her mouth spoke about thoughts that weren't fully formed yet.

"... you could say smuggling runs in the family." Ellie's eyes flickered down to Isabela's chest, looking for that glow. It wasn't technically the truth, considering the lack of blood between them, but Joel was the closest thing to a father she'd ever had. It would be interesting to see if that set it off.
