[ There are a lot of things Bucky hasn't picked up on so far about this guy. Clouded as he is by Steve's abrupt disappearance, not to mention he's an unfamiliar stranger with really cultivated walls, there's a lot he's not gonna pick up on for a while.
He does recognize a stage smile when he sees it, if only because Steve had to plaster them on all the god damn time in 1943. It's kind of the nature of someone in that role, though, and it just earns a smaller and slightly inscrutable smile back.
