Isabela chuckled. "Oh, I'll definitely do that. He's hard to miss anyway, Varric makes himself known wherever he goes."

Her head tipped, studying Ellie. Isabela was observant and she noticed the fingers, but she didn't draw attention to them. She had her fair share of scars and so did most people she knew. She wasn't about to go poking into Ellie's history where it wasn't wanted.

"Smuggling means a lot of things," Isabela offered. "Take it from someone who's been on all ends of it. You can smuggle for the side of good, for the side of evil, or for the side of you, which is usually somewhere in the middle. There's worse family histories to have." Whether because Isabela hadn't figured out exactly how her powers worked yet, or because Ellie believed that Joel was her family, the glow didn't make itself known.
