[ Kettara blinks, suddenly uncertain. She wonders if she's done something rude. Humans are particular about their customs. They take offense to strange things while leaving awful, egregious stains against their own honor with no care at all.

And the question is a difficult one to answer. She knows, in a vague sort of way, that the goblins have found ways to identify bodies and other compounds through science and not just by harnessing arcane energies or the aid of the elemental spirts, but that was never her role. She maintains balance, or she ought to.

There are words for what she smells. She fears, suddenly, that she does not know them. It isn't harsh tang of Fel or the softer hint of arcane magic. But he doesn't smell like the humans she's encountered either. She thought earlier there was something like salt, but what kind?

She squints at him, then scents the air again. ]


Sweat. [ She says it slowly, watching him curiously. ] It's different. Hard to pick up. But I was curious.

[ That was probably rude of her. ]

I don't think a human would be able to tell.
