NAME: Amos Burton CANON: The Expanse JOURNAL:baltimores POWER: darkness manipulation JOB: n/a so far, he's been forcibly confined to a basement for four days and then he got sent to the AU lmao. There he's a Shrike! SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: extremely traumatizing arrival process --> assumed in-au canon in which he's basically become the worst version of himself, it's great, he's going to be totally fine when he comes back from the au, don't worry about it PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: God I GENUINELY have no idea. He's a very go-with-the-flow kind of character so if you need a Shrike for anything, hit him up. If there's politicking about, he's on Team Strange by default because Homelander is his patron. I'd like to keep him in the AU for a while longer yet (possibly towards the end?) so really just AU stuff here, but I'll expand in the areas of interest section. AREAS OF INTEREST: - CR. Specifically, weird AU CR that's going to have consequences out of the AU (positive or negative - or, more likely, a progression from negative to positive, maybe with some things staying negative because some things you just can't fix?). - Really dark shit. Like, really, really dark. So if you're okay with bloody, violent stuff; murder; whatever, I'm more than down. I want to play up the very worst aspects of himself because this is the kind of thing that's going to wreck him when he comes back from the AU, and he's not going to have the language or ability to process that at all. Like yeah, it was all fake, but he still did all that stuff and it felt natural at the time (maybe still feels natural) so... - This is all working towards him recognizing that he actually can be a good person, even if it's really hard/there are some particularly tough roadblocks along the way. That'll all be after the AU though. In the AU I wanna set up some of those roadblocks! HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: In-AU: Shrike! Could honestly be found literally anywhere in the Aerie, so if there's a setting you like best, go for it, we can make anything work. Out of the AU: He'd only just now be able to leave the safehouse, so not like he has a lot of places to go... Though he's probably going to instinctively end up at fight club for a good long while. OVERALL GOALS: Deep, really personal CR. He's still new and recently separated from his found family, and he doesn't trust himself to be on his own. Especially after what he's been up to in the AU.
