Hi everyone! It's the end of the year already, somehow! We're glad that we've all somehow made it, despite how rough this year has been, and we hope everyone can end it on a decent note.

Without further ado,

◉ here's the December calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month. There isn't much beyond OOC dates this month, but it's a good reference if you want to keep track of when things will be happening.

◉ The Arrival Log is up, and those who will be coming into Meadowlark's world for the first time will be waking up to a very interesting set of circumstances! Please let us know if you have any questions, and we hope you enjoy your time on the moon.

◉ The Arrival Log, plus the Quarry Log that will be taking place alongside it, are what will wrap up the year for all of us. We hope that you enjoy the plot revelations and other tidbits that you can play with, and we as a mod team are very excited for what the future of Meadowlark will hold! More about that can be found in the OOC notes at the end of each log.

◉ For a rundown of everything that's happened so far in game, check out our The Story So Far page. This guy is your big ctrl+f friend. It needs updates for the past couple months, so we'll try to get to that at some point (most likely in January).

◉ Check out our Setting Page for any ideas you might need about the world at large!

◉ We also recommend that you look over our JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE to get the brain moving. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

AREAS OF INTEREST: Books, vidya games, the odd TV show. Y'all gonna get pics of my dog and some babbling about my family. I'm a toddler parent so I'm always up for talking about kids and the wild shit they get up to.

NAME: Ellie
CANON: The Last of Us (Part 2)
JOURNAL: notathreat
POWER: Invisibility (currently limited to when she's holding her breath)
JOB: Ellie works at The Mermaid as security. It's a little dive with some live music, and while she can't socialize too much on her shifts, she's fond of the place and spends time there outside of work. (Post-AU it's likely that her boss is going to be really insistent that she play there sometimes to drum up business, which should bring in a little extra money.)
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Ellie was a former victor in the AU who mostly managed to keep her head down and play the game, and had a modest following for her musical talents. While nothing's concrete about the next leg of the plot, she's put down the foundations for assisting the rebels and even getting elbow-deep in what's to come because she CANNOT leave well enough alone.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Following up on the fact that she's currently two for two on the conspiracy theories. We've also got some rumblings of Ellie getting roped into the Moon Gate thing by Nathan, and she hasn't realized that Joel's here yet or that he got to go to the moon BEFORE HER, WHAT AN ASSHOLE. She's still reeling from the deaths of several people she knew and cared about (and their subsequent return to life) and... well, the fact that she and Glimmer kissed, so she's gonna be about as functional over that as she is over anything which is not at fucking all
AREAS OF INTEREST: I love plot engagement but my bread and butter is CR. I'm gonna work on deepening the connections she has but there is always, always room for new people. If you're not familiar with Ellie, she's a 19 year old post-apocalyptic survivor with a lot of trauma she's never unpacked. She's a sci-fi, space & comic book nerd who loves puns, bad decisions and has an unsettlingly high body count.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: If your character was in the AU with her, feel free to say that they're familiar with her AU backstory and/or her work in the music industry!
OVERALL GOALS: Meaningful connections with others! Things to believe in and get involved in! Fixing things with Joel! Crying a whole fucking lot!
