DECEMBER CR MEME
Hi everyone! It's the end of the year already, somehow! We're glad that we've all somehow made it, despite how rough this year has been, and we hope everyone can end it on a decent note.
Without further ado,
◉ here's the December calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month. There isn't much beyond OOC dates this month, but it's a good reference if you want to keep track of when things will be happening.
◉ The Arrival Log is up, and those who will be coming into Meadowlark's world for the first time will be waking up to a very interesting set of circumstances! Please let us know if you have any questions, and we hope you enjoy your time on the moon.
◉ The Arrival Log, plus the Quarry Log that will be taking place alongside it, are what will wrap up the year for all of us. We hope that you enjoy the plot revelations and other tidbits that you can play with, and we as a mod team are very excited for what the future of Meadowlark will hold! More about that can be found in the OOC notes at the end of each log.
◉ For a rundown of everything that's happened so far in game, check out our The Story So Far page. This guy is your big ctrl+f friend. It needs updates for the past couple months, so we'll try to get to that at some point (most likely in January).
◉ Check out our Setting Page for any ideas you might need about the world at large!
◉ We also recommend that you look over our JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE to get the brain moving. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

AREAS OF INTEREST: My plurk is mainly RP at the mo! The pandemic has been rough on my interests, but outside of pandemic times I'm a theatre nut and will hopefully in future be plurking about London adventures. I'm also aiming to read more in 2021 so BOOKS.
Stephen Strange

NAME: Stephen StrangeCANON: MCU
JOURNAL:
POWER: Neural Programming... a.k.a big brain mind powers man
JOB: Stephen is the co-owner of the Red Wings bar alongside Clarke! They're always open to hire more Displaced, extra info here.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Stephen's primarily been living his life as a Cardinal in the AU, meddling and scheming, using his power to maintain Power, also using his power to wipe the minds of anyone who's been given power, etc etc.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Stephen's going to be hanging out in the AU having a fine old time until everything goes to absolute shit, at which point he's probably diving spectacularly off the rails.
AREAS OF INTEREST: This is the last chance I'm going to get to go absolutely ham with his powers for a while, so I'd like to make the most of it! With a lovely side order of making his life considerably worse in his non-AU future. All decorum will be thrown out of the window for him once the Volary bomb goes off, at which point if anybody wants horrible things happening to their characters he's your dude!
His powers let him do basically anything having near total control over the neurology of another person can allow, so if you want your characters to either suffer or be killed off I'm here for you! I'm also happy if you want a non-violent out for your character for you to assume Stephen just switched them off at the brain - this can be threaded or assumed to have happened long-distance or in thoughtless passing.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Stephen's a Cardinal for the rest of the month, so it's safe to assume if you've any Parliament-adjacent characters they can be Aware of him or acquainted with him at parties etc! Or have been uh. Horribly treated by him as the world burns.
OVERALL GOALS: Just keep trotting along on his character arc as it progresses! He's had a wild and rewarding ride so far and I'm excited to see what this AU does to his future progress
ANYTHING ELSE:
Laura Moon
> CHARACTER
NAME: Laura MoonCANON: American Gods (TV)
JOURNAL:
POWER: Sensory Manipulation. However, in the event her powers are super strength (kestrel) and sound direction (quarry).
JOB: She's currently jobless! She may go back into the wonderful world of crime once the event is over or she may not, we shall see
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Pre-event she did a whole lot of laying low and hoping the Displaced didn't realise she was back, during the event she's been Ungraciously Tolerating the run up to the quarry.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Laura's going to be part of the Kestrel team in the Quarry making sure as few participants as possible get blown up by the bomb. She's then going to storm the fucking Volary because! Fuck those guys where's her husband.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'd like for her to get into conversation with any Quarry participants inside the Quarry, save anyone who's surviving that long from the bombsite, and thennnn once the bomb's gone I'm going to send her on a kill spree in the Volary so if anybody wants to get into a fight with a tiny woman with super strength who is willing to tear out a bone or two, she's your gal. Also if any non-combatants need rescuing from fights or from falling debris etc.
I'm also happy for her to die in the Volary either in a fight or trying to super strength shield somebody except she's not actually invulnerable so RIP.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: She's been a member of the Congregation for 29 whole years so knowing her from ~life~ is valid! As is knowing her as a fellow Kestrel, she's been violent and difficult to control throughout her time as a Kestrel so!!
OVERALL GOALS: We're fresh back on this adventure so just seeing where she goes! Hopefully building on her canon transition into appreciating life and living it for herself rather than using other people as crutches.
