Hi everyone! It's the end of the year already, somehow! We're glad that we've all somehow made it, despite how rough this year has been, and we hope everyone can end it on a decent note.

Without further ado,

◉ here's the December calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month. There isn't much beyond OOC dates this month, but it's a good reference if you want to keep track of when things will be happening.

◉ The Arrival Log is up, and those who will be coming into Meadowlark's world for the first time will be waking up to a very interesting set of circumstances! Please let us know if you have any questions, and we hope you enjoy your time on the moon.

◉ The Arrival Log, plus the Quarry Log that will be taking place alongside it, are what will wrap up the year for all of us. We hope that you enjoy the plot revelations and other tidbits that you can play with, and we as a mod team are very excited for what the future of Meadowlark will hold! More about that can be found in the OOC notes at the end of each log.

◉ For a rundown of everything that's happened so far in game, check out our The Story So Far page. This guy is your big ctrl+f friend. It needs updates for the past couple months, so we'll try to get to that at some point (most likely in January).

◉ Check out our Setting Page for any ideas you might need about the world at large!

◉ We also recommend that you look over our JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE to get the brain moving. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: started some investigations into giles bell before being scooped up into the au! thought himself to be a member of the kestrels for years, was fwb with his irl wife, planned for a bomb to go off at the quarry (teamwork makes the dream work!).
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: [ makes idk sound] it depends on how the au ends for the aftermath, but since cassian is already a rebel will probably be pretty shrug about his kestrel life. hopefully, maybe, will meet prometheus?? will get some answers to any of his burning questions?? overall cassian will probably be pretty stable post au bc this isn't his first plant a bomb rodeo
AREAS OF INTEREST: cassian's invested in the corporate overlap (riverstone especially but also giles bell lately), spinetail, and johann grey! among other things, but those tend to be what he's circulating on currently
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: we can wave off cassian knowing your character in the au via kestrel connections! in regular meadowlark, his job is repair work so he can be almost anywhere, fixing any random shit. maybe even ur house. he also worked on stabilizing the tunnel and the safehouse pre au, so he could be recognizable from that! he lives in a fancy ass apartment but still pokes in on the displaced at red wings and the safehouse* (*when it's functional)
OVERALL GOALS: who tf gave him his fake spine! and all the mysteries about that and the big old mystery about their powers and purpose etc

JOB: she hadn't quite found one before being zoomed away to the au!
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: nile arrived, found her friends from home, and then was promptly whisked away into the hunger games like wtf has her life been for the last month! first immortality, then gestures at this. while in the aerie, she had/has a girlfriend, some long term best buddies, and ended up in the quarry bc she stole some food for a kid like a chump. teamed up with kai during the quarry until the bomb went off and she will thus go off and escape!!
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: idk fam she's vibing. nile's been through a lot of big life changes starting within her own canon so she's sort of like 'ok whatever happens next is probably gonna be weird af too.' she should probably take a minute to just chill, but she's a millennial and we all know that's impossible.
AREAS OF INTEREST: still... figuring this part out. i wanna see where nile falls into more naturally, but we'll see!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: she's still newish so i don't want to handwave too much cr, but there's plenty of opportunity for passively meeting or maybe recognition from the au still too. she loves music, maybe they can bump into each other at a concert or club (pre or post au obvs)
OVERALL GOALS: continue to have nile find her footing, especially once things go back to normal. whats a goal, don't know her
