Hi everyone! It's the end of the year already, somehow! We're glad that we've all somehow made it, despite how rough this year has been, and we hope everyone can end it on a decent note.

Without further ado,

◉ here's the December calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month. There isn't much beyond OOC dates this month, but it's a good reference if you want to keep track of when things will be happening.

◉ The Arrival Log is up, and those who will be coming into Meadowlark's world for the first time will be waking up to a very interesting set of circumstances! Please let us know if you have any questions, and we hope you enjoy your time on the moon.

◉ The Arrival Log, plus the Quarry Log that will be taking place alongside it, are what will wrap up the year for all of us. We hope that you enjoy the plot revelations and other tidbits that you can play with, and we as a mod team are very excited for what the future of Meadowlark will hold! More about that can be found in the OOC notes at the end of each log.

◉ For a rundown of everything that's happened so far in game, check out our The Story So Far page. This guy is your big ctrl+f friend. It needs updates for the past couple months, so we'll try to get to that at some point (most likely in January).

◉ Check out our Setting Page for any ideas you might need about the world at large!

◉ We also recommend that you look over our JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE to get the brain moving. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

AREAS OF INTEREST: No fun things at all. I've watched the Old Guard too many times, I love the mess that is the MCU but know nothing except for what Wikipedia's told me about the comics. I have a dog and three cats and sometimes I post pictures.

NAME: Natasha Romanoff
CANON: MCU
JOURNAL: bornrussian
POWER: Shapeshifting, in small and mostly useless ways.
JOB: Security in the "real" world. Magpie socialite and professional-fiancée in the Aerie.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: In the real world, Nat fought in the fight clubs to try to feel something and ended up sadness-hooking-up with Bucky (MCU-flavor) at their place. In the Aerie, she and Tony (MCU-flavor) were just about to announce their engagement when she met up with estranged childhood bestie (and second half) Bucky and made Bad, Bad Choices. Engagement was still announced, but wedding planning will grind to a halt what with the explosions and all.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Clinging to life like it's her job through the end of the AU. Which, technically, it kinda was ever since she survived the Quarry. Tony will save her and Bucky from certain death, but die in the process which will spark a grief-guilt cycle that isn't exactly new to Natasha. Once they make it back from the AU, things will be awkward. She will be very conflicted by the new -- and fake -- emotions she has for Bucky, her damn engagement tattoo she got with Tony, and Tony and Wanda being in Meadowlark to begin with. Fun! But at least her hair will be long again.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Trying to manage the emotional fallout of the AU. Navigating people who now know more about her than she's comfortable with.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: If your character was a member of Parliament in the AU, chances are Nat flirted shamelessly with them. Mainly men, but she's not above flirting with women.
OVERALL GOALS: Angst, dream stuff, exploring the empathy bond, hoping really hard they're not clones.
