[ She's damned right they need to go. He studies her face, and finds himself reading things like, how her pupils have dilated. How she's breathing rapidly, how she's sweating.

Cameron's skin was always real. She could bleed, she could sweat. But she didn't have an adrenal system, she didn't react in the way that a human would. He moves his hand up against her neck, and he finds her pulse thudding against his fingers. He pulls them away like they've burned him.

Act first. Find safety, then evaluate. They need to get off the streets before someone takes an interest.

[ John shrugs his torn shirt back on, and puts his jacket around her shoulders. She's probably in shock. She's never felt actual real pain before.

He gets to his feet and reaches to help her to hers.
