[ She watches him hunch in on himself, so use to reading body language that she immediately recognises it as some natural recoil to an unpleasant memory. She frowns just a little. It’s upsetting watching people agitated and unsettled. ]

Oh. That’s a little sad.

[ She’s thinking of warm hugs and the feeling of a friendly arm slung over her shoulder. Feeling comfortable and secure in a casual touch for the first time in years. Lost so quickly. ]

Maybe that’s why they gave us the head technology. To replace touch with words.
