[Ever vigilant, during the first few seconds of his "performance" Nill tries to work out how this could be some kind of ploy to get her to drop her guard. She's usually pretty good at picking up on ill intent, but she doesn't sense any of that from this man--all she sees in his eyes is a good-naturedness that throws her for something of a quiet loop.

He... is really just air guitaring for her right here in the middle of the crowd, isn't he?

Slowly, a shy smile finally breaks out over her lips. She doesn't make to move any closer to him, but her body does hold significantly less tension than it did just a couple seconds ago. When he finishes, she realizes she should do something, so she gives what could be called a polite round of applause--then he mentions yelling, and for a brief moment, her expression flickers to something close to sad. But then that small smile is back, even if there's a backdrop of some sort of pain behind it.

Nill gestures to her throat and then shakes her head as she mimes talking with one hand. She might oblige him, if she was able. But as things are, he'll just have to settle for her quiet clapping.]
