[An "I can try" is better than nothing. It's at least a semblance of willingness.]
Basic self defense, to start with. And should a sword ever cross our paths I can prepare you for that as well.
[It's a useful skill to learn even if they can't find one. That's what pipes and wooden boards are for.]
