A cure is impossible. Perhaps if we had a vaccine, it could be used akin to post-exposure-prophylaxis, but I think that's a pipe dream. The pathogen is too aggressive, it simply acts too quick. As for said vaccine...

You had a perfectly good time before I came and told you about all the ways humanity is close to extinction in my world, and I have been told I talk far too much about my work as is. ⟪ really, that used to be a dealbreaker even before the breakdown, when the focal point of her existence wasn't fungus. ⟫ What about you?
