truth be told, ginia wouldn't be barking up the wrong tree entirely –– most, though not all, of caroline's generally ill-fated relationships have been with women. not since she was granted her project at hotel echo, though, there's not been time for anything else.

and the empathy bond is a... draw back. a big one. it's hard to compartmentalise something casual when every single touch insists on emotional awareness.

still, the mushroom makes her smile, and she picks it up. even after having watched angela assemble it, it's hard – not impossible, but hard – to tell where each crease had gone to make the shape.


I'm not much of a conversationalist, either. That's what made biochemistry so appealing. ⟪ she is, generally, even-tempered, which is a kind way to say that her capacity for normal human affect is relatively low. she looks down at the little paper mushroom in her hand, before turning her attention back to angela. ⟫ Thank you, by the way.
