she breathes a laugh at that, but an enjoyment for self-depreciating humour aside, she does genuinely appreciate the sentiment of quiet companionship. there's something past about it, something nearly obsolete, and she wouldn't say that she has missed it ––

but she would say that it's been something she used to take for granted.
