It's heatwave weekend, friends! Welcome to early August, welcome to Meadowlark's second anniversary, and so forth! Your arrival log is now live, and here's our usual CR meme rundown.

So, here we go!

JOB: She does not have a job yet. She'll be mostly helping Clarke out with Red Wings right now especially in its disrepair and such.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Lexa showed up, found out that pretty much all of her people are dead and her planet was destroyed, did not cope with this, fought a lot of monsters, learned how to use a gun, dealt with her new friend having a slug in the brain and her love being turned into a monster, and attempted to converse with others the way people supposedly do.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Lexa will be interested in helping fix up the safehouses/REd Wings and being useful that way. She is trying to see this world as her new adopted land, and she believes that they'll be trying to get all their people here, so she is invested in cleaning it up and keeping it safe. Also she'll be moving in with the Hundies and deepening CR all around.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Eventually a priority is her figuring out to do with her life when it's not 100% about her people and possibly allowing herself to emote just a little bit about grief.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Lexa's my most introverted character so she isn't likely to strike up conversations with people. She is polite if you do talk to her though!
OVERALL GOALS: Developing more CR, opening her up a bit, finding her a new purpose.

Scott's middle name is Community Outreach if Community Outreach was a compound word. I'd love to get these two into something. We can do some event handwaving as Scott drove the ambulance and triaged when he needed to. So, their paths could've crossed multiple times?

They absolutely could have. They were both out and about that way. Quentin didn't get injured himself but a lot of the NPCs with him did get hurt.

AREAS OF INTEREST: I like vintage fashion, history, baking, embroidery, and doing shit that the first person to die in a horror movie would do (i.e: crawling into holes in walls, following mystery noises down dark hallways, creeping around in abandoned buildings). I also play a decent swathe of video games and love to friend people on PSN!

JOB: Manager at Red Wings sports bar.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Nate had some good conversations with existing CR, made some new friends, and also fought a stupid amount of monsters during the monster invasion. Unfortunately this also meant that his mild-mannered alter ego, Friendly Bar Guy, was chipped at a bit when he had to, you know, shoot some things to avoid imminent death.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: I'm making an open log for Nate for this month tonight (or tomorrow) with some available dreamshare stuff! I'm also looking forward to Nate getting through some complicated emotions with the arrival of his older brother, Sam Drake.
AREAS OF INTEREST: With Nate's equally-criminal brother in residence it might be cool to finally get the ball rolling on Nate's power upgrade becoming substantially more visible in the form of accidentally winning too much at a mob-run casino. His original intent would be to find some in into the business, so he can dig up more on the mercenary teams that apprehended Displaced several months ago, but we'll see where that goes. :)
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Nate is frequently serving/training/hiring at Red Wings, clambering around on the various rooftops of New Amsterdam, and occasionally slipping into fighting rings.
OVERALL GOALS: Crimes + CR, the priorities.

William's going to be getting back into the fighting rings as a means of trying to train himself by doing, if he'd like to hand William his ass. But, also, their minds are quite complimentary as William is definitely more cerebral but also charming. William also bets on fights, too, if he'd like a follow-up to his fight to be an invitation to William's table. I'm super open!

I'm super down for that, I'd like them to meet and Nate's really patient when it comes to teaching people (and fortunately he does have experience doing so) if William wants to practice + get his ass handed to him! I'm also into the second option there so...maybe we could aim for the latter for an intro, and then the former we could finagle this month or the next? :D

AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm an artist and writer living in Los Angeles. I work in video games but I don't play them. I spend an unreasonable amount of time making icons, gifs, aesthetic boards, and playlists. Sometimes I'll actually share a real piece of art.

JOB: Line Cook at Red Wings
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Murphy was helping out around Red Wings until he got sliced up by monster!Clarke, which revealed him as a Nightblood and therefore a lying traitor to his kru. The fallout of all that is still in the process of playing out.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Don't have anything concrete yet! His kru is moving into a more spacious home and they're dragging him along with them for some reason he doesn't understand. You know, considering everything. But Murphy himself is looking for an exit strategy and maybe an alliance that doesn't depend on a group of people who may or may not want to kill him.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm all about conflict. Murphy's a shady asshole, so it's totally cool if your character kicks him around. I'd like to get him involved with people outside his kru, though he's edgy around anyone he doesn't know, so it's a bit of work to coax him over. He's trying to stay on Clarke and Bellamy's good side, but there's definitely tension there that someone could take advantage of.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Murphy lives with Clarke, Bellamy, and Lexa, so anyone who hangs around their place might run into him. He's usually in the kitchen at Red Wings, but when his shift is over, he's known to hang around and drink for… a few hours. And that's about all he does. Which is sad.
OVERALL GOALS: Murphy is constantly wrestling with morality and loyalty. I love putting him in positions that challenge him there. His #1 goal is to stay alive, and while he's learning to be less selfish, he makes bad decisions when he's terrified. I'm looking for a reason to get him to do the wrong thing and get involved with the wrong people.

JOB: Wade currently works at Red Wings as a bouncer, but he’s looking for more, uh… “off the books” type of work.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Getting fucked up by monsters for great justice. Trying to be a hero sucks ass. He figured out his powers, though! That's a plus, right?
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Crimes? Shenanigans? Finding a way to bring Bea Arthur back from the dead? I got nothin'. Open to suggestions, though!
AREAS OF INTEREST: Building up CR, quick and witty banter, and plot-- whether CR-related plot or otherwise. Just gimme those good good character relations.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Wade’s pretty much got a steady shift at Red Wings, so if your character either works there or frequents there as a customer, odds are he’s caught sight of you more than once.
OVERALL GOALS: Getting a dedicated circle of friends is my main goal for Wade, but I’d also like for him to actually grow to be a better person and actually care about keeping those friends around, as he’s pathetically unused to having people who actually tolerate his existence.
