It's heatwave weekend, friends! Welcome to early August, welcome to Meadowlark's second anniversary, and so forth! Your arrival log is now live, and here's our usual CR meme rundown.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: I had to take an unexpected hiatus for health reasons, so Diana was on auto-pilot. It is safe to assume she fought monsters and did relief work!
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: More relief work! I'm going to take it pretty easy this month since I'm still recovering.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Just about anything! I feel a little disconnected since I was on hiatus for most of the month, so I'm kind of just looking to get back into things. I love when Diana gets to train with people and take on a mentor role, and also people she can just kinda shoot the shit with and be kind of a normal person. I'd also be open to a new displaced crashing on her couch until the safehouse is back up. Get up in her space! Remind her what roommates are like!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: First meetings, setting up training sessions, getting your art assessed.
OVERALL GOALS: Diana is kind of learning how to be human which is sort of a weird thing to say, but she's spent a long time on her own just kind of going through life, fighting, and protecting people. She kinda just needs to chill a little.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Relief work and trying to get back to normal! She lost some pretty significant CR this month so she's going to be having a hard time. I'm going to take it pretty easy this month since I'm still recovering.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Just about anything! I feel a little disconnected since I was on hiatus for most of the month, so I'm kind of just looking to get back into things. Nill likes to cook for people, and is always interested in learning new skills. She's also available for first aid.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: First meetings, hanging out around town (she frequents HONEY♥HONEY), her knowing your favorite bar food because you frequent Red Wings.
OVERALL GOALS: Nill's time in Meadow Lark has been an exercise in building her self-confidence. It's been kind of a roller coaster! She's in a pretty good spot right now, but the aforementioned loss of close CR is going to fuck her up a little.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Oh you know just went to Antarctica and had a bad time and then came home and fought monsters and had a bad time.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: WELL Jack knows the secret of his magical secret powers now so he’s less incentivized to keep them secret and probably should improve them at some point. Who wants to fight a ghost fart???
AREAS OF INTEREST: He's got some sweet deets on ALIGN and is currently working on chasing those leads. His niche in the game seems to be solving the mysteries of the implants while continuing to force Cassius to be his friend.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Gabriel doesn't have a real job, per se, but he does some freelance bouncing at bars and clubs here and there (he's very buff) and also is the bookie's worst nightmare at fight club, betting for and against people and very rarely fighting himself. You might run into him there! He lives with Jack in a shitty apartment and is otherwise a serious soldier-type with a few decades of experience in black ops so if your character needs any kind of training he's a good guy to hit up. You can read more about him here to see if anything strikes your fancy!
OVERALL GOALS: Continue poking around the seedy underbelly of New Amsterdam to see how many crimes he can get away with. GOTTA SOLVE THE MYSTERY OF ALL THIS, maybe. He doesn't trust Morningstar or the other displaced or anyone, really, so I'm interested in having him get his hands dirty as he tries to figure out what's going on and what he can do about it. He wasn't a huge fan of the UN back home and he likes them even less now that they rule the world! He’s VERY pleased that they’re so kneecapped right now.

JOB: He was working low-level at Vyonation in tech. We shall see, now? He's a little more famous and he did a bad thing.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: After surviving Antarctica, William hemmed and hawed at releasing found information of the scientists' research before ultimately deciding to. Early into the event, he was possessed by a slug. After, he, Kyna, and Ian captured one of the bats. He spent his time doing science and solidifying some friendships.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Exploring this new world and who William is in it. It's his first taste of what he used to be in notoriety. And not the good kind. But, that's nothing new. He's also displaced, housing-wise, and staying on Drake's couch.
AREAS OF INTEREST: William needs more allies and needs to find a real purpose in this time. He's going to definitely hack more and build up that skill. Also, opportunities to use his power! They come few and far between.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: William spent time in the fight club his first month or two, observing first, then joining the fray. He was around the safe house as well and totally affable. Now, his name is synonymous with Antarctic research he's leaked.
OVERALL GOALS: Establish more and gain more roots. Immersing William in the world more than I have been.
ANYTHING ELSE:
Scott McCall

NAME: Scott McCallCANON: Teen Wolf
JOURNAL:
POWER: Persuasion
JOB: He was helping board animals, cleaning up after them and playing with them when the job called for it. He was a temporary ambulance during the monster attacks. He might find a new avenue if it naturally comes up.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: He helped in the monster attacks! He had a very low key month but reached out to the cause and helped with where he could in transporting the injured. And also got some notoriety for it. He also moved in with Gene who offered him a couch.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Just reaching out and helping where he can. He'll help rebuild Red Wings and anybody's homes if they were damaged. He's very open right now in plans, but I want to find a good direction for him.
AREAS OF INTEREST: He needs to use his power, too... But, other than that. Scott just wants to be of help. And that's in any way he can be. He's stepped back from being a leader being so new, but he wants to get his feet better acquainted. He'll be standing taller.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Scott was a part of the welcome committee the last month of arrivals. Without that tethering him to a safe house, he'll still meet new people and help where he can! So, he definitely introduced himself to any member of Displaced and offered literally anything he could do. He helped at Red Wings, first as triage, and then as an ambulance driver. So, you can hand wave he transported you. Also, any empathy bond moments. Scott wears gloves now because of it. And he was recognized for his help in the monster attacks. So, feel free to recognize that.
OVERALL GOALS: Just better establishing him. Getting him good foundational CR.

AREAS OF INTEREST: My plurk's a mess of memes, rl bitching, cooking/baking (not much ice-cream making atm), pirate stuff, and books/comics. I love the detritus of history, especially when it's terrible (let's talk about aspics), and have two cats. I prefer to keep my plurk list small, so while you're welcome to friend, please don't feel like you have to just for plotting stuff--my PPs are always open, and I'm happy to discuss things wherever!

POWER: Probability observation - he can get a sense of likely outcomes that he's going to be assuming are just ~feelings~ at least to start with.
JOB: Still gotta find one, soooooo. Crime? He's mostly good at crime. He's also good at puzzles, world history, and doing undercover nonsense. And maybe sponging off his baby brother.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:
• Get settled, get work, get laid? The usual needs
• FIND A CIGARETTE REPLACEMENT ASAP
AREAS OF INTEREST: My favourite things tend to be building up complicated CR, interpersonal drama, arguments, finding ways for characters to shoot the shit in dynamic ways, dramatic irony, &cet. I'm also fine with action scenes and other more running-jumping-climbing-trees kinds of focuses, but if I'm playing to my own strengths, they're gonna be on the more talky end of things.
I've found that Sam tends to be a lot of fun when dealing with younger characters, especially scrappy ones that might hit the "you remind me of my baby brother" button in his subconscious, but he's also great with other People With Questionable Morals, men of a certain age, women who don't mind an aging ladies' man hitting on them (or who do, I'm into both). Honestly, let's try whoever and see who sticks.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: This, I think I'll have better answers for in the future--let's establish some unwavy CR first. ♥
OVERALL GOALS: Make Sam deal with his brother issues and make some friends. I don't have very Important goals for him atm, because I wanna see how he starts fitting into New Amsterdam and maybe come back with Further Ideas in future CR memes. :D

like helping Nate clean up at a gambling den at some point soon.SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Lance spent most of his time trying to help people not die to monsters, and also not die himself. He did that generally by playing medic at Red Wings, but also went with Gene and some others to rescue civilians in the caves and did assorted other nonsense.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Continuing to slowly involve himself in anything and everything like the nosy menace he is. He's not hiding the whole 'was in another terrible place like this one before coming here' thing anymore, and so feels more confident giving his input on things, so expect him to be interjecting OPINIONS wherever warranted
or not warranted. Also I want to keep developing new CR and strengthening (or otherwise, depending) current CR.AREAS OF INTEREST: I love plot, but I particularly love plot because it's such a great gateway to really dynamic CR opportunities. I love complicated CR, relationships that go awry, plans that mess up, all that; it's super fun and interesting to play stuff out how it just naturally goes.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: If your character was injured or just resting at Red Wings for a bit during the monster attack, they could easily have had a conversation.
OVERALL GOALS: Just see where the plot and CR takes me!

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: marcos mostly concentrated on outreach when it came to the event. he transported people to safe places, brought them resources, protected them, and tried not to die himself.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: after a few months of just establishing himself in new amsterdam, making connections, and making money, i think i'm going to check into marcos looking for a spot that's for sale to possibly establish some kind of center for the disenfranchised, the homeless, the sick, the abused, that sort of thing where they can come and be safe for awhile. i have to ask about the specifics here but it would be something marcos would really want to dig into and work at.
AREAS OF INTEREST: really, marcos is just big into helping those that can't help themselves because he's been there, done that.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: because of some past losses, you'll likely see marcos at pulsar for long hours if you work there because he's been throwing himself into work. he's oftentimes out in new amsterdam, bringing supplies and food to those that need it, making connections, meeting with other agents, and just trying to make sure people are protected.
OVERALL GOALS: as stated above, i think working towards something solid and tangible is my goal for marcos. he's been more nomadic with his endeavors but i do want to have him get something going to give people a safe space.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Quentin did a shitton in the event! He ran around the city and hid a lot, he saved a lot of people, watched some people die, almost got possessed but used his relic, informed people of relics and monsters he saw, and helped close the New Amsterdam gate when all the madness was going on. He is very tired. Also he FINALLY FIGURED OUT HIS POWERS.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Two more of his friends are here which is very important to him, he'll be focused on getting them more comfortable here. He's going to be very interested in helping people in the aftermath of the event and offering resources. He also will be very intrigued by this PM person.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Quentin's been community based more recently so he'll be looking into doing more community outreach and help. Also he is the conspiracy theorist so the mystery of PM and what this all means will very much be on his mind.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Quentin's a nice guy and he's friendly! You might've talked to him at Red Wings or during this event where he was covered in dirt and blood so that was fun.
OVERALL GOALS: Reuniting with his friends, following the mystery, and helping others.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Nate had some good conversations with existing CR, made some new friends, and also fought a stupid amount of monsters during the monster invasion. Unfortunately this also meant that his mild-mannered alter ego, Friendly Bar Guy, was chipped at a bit when he had to, you know, shoot some things to avoid imminent death.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: I'm making an open log for Nate for this month tonight (or tomorrow) with some available dreamshare stuff! I'm also looking forward to Nate getting through some complicated emotions with the arrival of his older brother, Sam Drake.
AREAS OF INTEREST: With Nate's equally-criminal brother in residence it might be cool to finally get the ball rolling on Nate's power upgrade becoming substantially more visible in the form of accidentally winning too much at a mob-run casino. His original intent would be to find some in into the business, so he can dig up more on the mercenary teams that apprehended Displaced several months ago, but we'll see where that goes. :)
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Nate is frequently serving/training/hiring at Red Wings, clambering around on the various rooftops of New Amsterdam, and occasionally slipping into fighting rings.
OVERALL GOALS: Crimes + CR, the priorities.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Murphy was helping out around Red Wings until he got sliced up by monster!Clarke, which revealed him as a Nightblood and therefore a lying traitor to his kru. The fallout of all that is still in the process of playing out.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Don't have anything concrete yet! His kru is moving into a more spacious home and they're dragging him along with them for some reason he doesn't understand. You know, considering everything. But Murphy himself is looking for an exit strategy and maybe an alliance that doesn't depend on a group of people who may or may not want to kill him.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm all about conflict. Murphy's a shady asshole, so it's totally cool if your character kicks him around. I'd like to get him involved with people outside his kru, though he's edgy around anyone he doesn't know, so it's a bit of work to coax him over. He's trying to stay on Clarke and Bellamy's good side, but there's definitely tension there that someone could take advantage of.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Murphy lives with Clarke, Bellamy, and Lexa, so anyone who hangs around their place might run into him. He's usually in the kitchen at Red Wings, but when his shift is over, he's known to hang around and drink for… a few hours. And that's about all he does. Which is sad.
OVERALL GOALS: Murphy is constantly wrestling with morality and loyalty. I love putting him in positions that challenge him there. His #1 goal is to stay alive, and while he's learning to be less selfish, he makes bad decisions when he's terrified. I'm looking for a reason to get him to do the wrong thing and get involved with the wrong people.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Getting fucked up by monsters for great justice. Trying to be a hero sucks ass. He figured out his powers, though! That's a plus, right?
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Crimes? Shenanigans? Finding a way to bring Bea Arthur back from the dead? I got nothin'. Open to suggestions, though!
AREAS OF INTEREST: Building up CR, quick and witty banter, and plot-- whether CR-related plot or otherwise. Just gimme those good good character relations.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Wade’s pretty much got a steady shift at Red Wings, so if your character either works there or frequents there as a customer, odds are he’s caught sight of you more than once.
OVERALL GOALS: Getting a dedicated circle of friends is my main goal for Wade, but I’d also like for him to actually grow to be a better person and actually care about keeping those friends around, as he’s pathetically unused to having people who actually tolerate his existence.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Last month he arrived in New Amsterdam, met some new folks, moved into an apartment with Bucky (MCU) and Natasha right after getting out of the safe house and two days later the world was attacked by monsters! He spent a lot of that time doing supply runs, helping folks pinned down by monsters, joined in Gene's operation to save folks abducted by spiders, and ended up transforming into a giant panther thing on the last day.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: ICly he's throwing himself into the construction work + PRESERVE volunteering in his free time. He recently received his shield out of nowhere, which is currently sitting in a corner of the apartment with a nice sheet over it, because complicated stuff.
AREAS OF INTEREST: There was talk about preparing new folks for potential attacks, so he could possibly help train anyone who wants to learn to fight while also side-eyeing the military recruitment stuff happening re: the UN.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Could meet him on a construction job, or working with PRESERVE!
OVERALL GOALS: I WAS GONNA COPYPASTE MY LAST ONE BUT I DIDN'T EVEN FILL IT OUT. I got a lot of personal CR things going on with him and I'm open for pretty much anything, it's still early for him!

POWER: Life steal (can cause pain, borrow someone's memories, heal herself, and heal others, either from her own life source or by stealing it from other people and passing it on).
JOB: Clarke's full time job is running Red Wings with Stephen Strange.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Clarke had the following happen:
→ Lexa: The love of her life showed up! This is complicated for many reasons, primarily the one where Lexa died and Clarke hasn't been with her for six plus years, so there's a lot of catching up and a lot of pain there.
→ Red Wings HQ: Building off of her plot in the simulation (Operation Hope), she made sure to restructure Red Wings into a headquarters during the monster attack. This is something that she and Stephen intend to build on.
→ Becoming a monster, and learning that Murphy is a Nightblood: Fifty percent of this is partially resolved. The other fifty percent is yet to be seen, in part because Clarke couldn't just bail on her responsibilities. Stephen is trying to get her to take time off. Clarke is actually worse when she gets time off, so it's probably better if she doesn't get it.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: The plans are:
→ Fallout from the monster stuff: There is a lot here, including the part where Murphy kept a secret that seems to have more going on. This may end up taking over Clarke's plot for the month.
→ Red Wings HQ: Permanent Edition: Stephen and Clarke are making PLANS for this.
→ Coming to Terms with the Disaster of this World: It started to happen during the monster plot, but Clarke is beginning to see similarities between this world and the apocalypse she knew all too well growing up. As it was the Solution for her people, that's bad.
→ Trying to Take Adora's Suggestion and Make it Actionable: This is a part of the Red Wings HQ plans that she and Stephen have, but she wants to move things forward. She's also going to be updating the newbie guide to reflect the increasing badness of the world, the situations people are walking into, and what to do next about it. If anyone would like to help me with this, I'd super, super appreciate it. Clarke is a leader who would ICly do a lot, but I also OOCly have a lot on my plate as a mod.
→ The Message from PM: Since PM also about their expensive ass festival tickets, Clarke will be very curious about this. I don't want to spearhead discussion, but I'd love to play in it!
AREAS OF INTEREST:
→ Leadership and long-term role: Clarke has been with the game since the beginning. She's been through all of the events (though one she sat out and heard about second hand). She also spearheads the bar with Stephen, so there will be areas there where she is people's boss. Clarke is very people-oriented and will help someone figure out what direction they may need in the world if they're feeling a little lost. If your character needs someone to boss them around, Clarke is their gal.
→ Red Wings: Clarke and Stephen Strange both run the bar! You can see the information on this here.
Medical stuff: Clarke can bandage someone up and I can pretend I know a single lick of anything about medicine. I don't. But good news: neither do the writers on The 100.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
→ Medical things! If the thread is just a quick patch up, we can easily handwave this. However, I am totally down for some hurt/comfort if you don't expect me to pay like any attention to the actual medical part of it.
→ Oldbie! Being here since day one, Clarke can help with knowing if someone else's CR has been around before, as long as they've been on the network.
→ Red Wings! If your character works at Red Wings, they know who Clarke is! She is their boss. She has been around a lot more since after the simulation, so she is a permanent fixture there. She helps with food prep in the morning, and does scheduling. If you'd like to work out someone's dynamic with Clarke, let me know.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Fought monsters, lost an arm again, got a new arm. Basically his normal.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Bucky is finishing up a longterm project to get the Winter Soldier control phrases out of the other Bucky's head. He's also scoping out the fighting rings. I'd like to use this month to make some new CR and deepen existing connections.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Bucky is a superhero interested in superhero things, and also helping people escape coercive situations and/or brainwashing. Consequently, he's very interested in the UNA, but similar experiences among the Displaced would also ping him.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He's working the construction sites for now, occasionally at Red Wings, if you fought monsters feel free to handwave a team-up.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Upon arrival, Natasha pretty immediately found Steve and Bucky. They all moved in together in Bucky's apartment, and Bucky set Natasha up with a job with a private security firm. Since arriving, Natasha's been having nightmares about Vormir. When monsters descended on New Amsterdam, she asked Bucky to remove the memory, but not before accidentally sharing it with Steve. She worked tirelessly to protect people until the monsters disappeared. Now, she needs five naps.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Work as much as she can (though most people seem to be going for the "physically intimidating look" at the moment), do some memory work with Bucky (she owes him), patch things up with Steve, make new friends, sit down with Strange and work through Vormir, make new friends, find someone to practice the empathy bond with (someone low stakes - aka not Steve or Bucky).
AREAS OF INTEREST: Would love to do more work stuff with Nat and push her into more dream share and empathy bond stuff.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Anyone who was in the safehouse at the same time as she was, meeting at shelters or doing monster combat together.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Getting back into the swing of things. Currently I'm focused on deepening my existing CR and getting Ephemera to interact with more people.
AREAS OF INTEREST: More CR. Positive, negative, throw it at me. I'm also interested in getting him more involved in the art scene.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: still backtagging : D and my apologies for the slowness, RL became busy and demanding for a while there. Roy spent the first couple days of The Siege churning out swords and bows for people needing weapons, and the rest of it was/is helping out at the gates, so he may have had to take A Trek back to New Amsterdam after that. Anyway, I'm still catching up with event stuff, pls forgive
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Roy Gets A Job.
AREAS OF INTEREST: weaponry, technology, intel gathering, power training, but also hit me with shenanigans and any other plots, i'm still trying to get this boy settled in and set up, gimme cr :V
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Roy spends most of his time in a few places: Jason and Loki's place, Red Wings, the black market (wherever he can dig for new tech and parts and weapons), and wherever jason's allowed him to do his tinkering. Other than that, he does some city wandering, usually later at night, probably on rooftops, as you do. any close cr can assume he's dropped by their place unexpected now and again to hang out, ramble at them, lounge on their couch for a while, etc. he won't stay long, but roy likes to check in on his people (disguised as "i'm bored, pay attention to me").
OVERALL GOALS: Roy's main interest right now is familiarizing himself with modern technology and weaponry so he can start making things and Being Useful (it's a thing, we don't talk about it). I'll also be trying to wedge him into some intel gathering and person of interest stalking, so if anyone wants Roy to creep on their character's sketchy business, hmu.
