AUGUST CR MEME
It's heatwave weekend, friends! Welcome to early August, welcome to Meadowlark's second anniversary, and so forth! Your arrival log is now live, and here's our usual CR meme rundown.
So, here we go!

CANON: The 100
JOURNAL:
POWER: Life steal (can cause pain, borrow someone's memories, heal herself, and heal others, either from her own life source or by stealing it from other people and passing it on).
JOB: Clarke's full time job is running Red Wings with Stephen Strange.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Clarke had the following happen:
→ Lexa: The love of her life showed up! This is complicated for many reasons, primarily the one where Lexa died and Clarke hasn't been with her for six plus years, so there's a lot of catching up and a lot of pain there.
→ Red Wings HQ: Building off of her plot in the simulation (Operation Hope), she made sure to restructure Red Wings into a headquarters during the monster attack. This is something that she and Stephen intend to build on.
→ Becoming a monster, and learning that Murphy is a Nightblood: Fifty percent of this is partially resolved. The other fifty percent is yet to be seen, in part because Clarke couldn't just bail on her responsibilities. Stephen is trying to get her to take time off. Clarke is actually worse when she gets time off, so it's probably better if she doesn't get it.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: The plans are:
→ Fallout from the monster stuff: There is a lot here, including the part where Murphy kept a secret that seems to have more going on. This may end up taking over Clarke's plot for the month.
→ Red Wings HQ: Permanent Edition: Stephen and Clarke are making PLANS for this.
→ Coming to Terms with the Disaster of this World: It started to happen during the monster plot, but Clarke is beginning to see similarities between this world and the apocalypse she knew all too well growing up. As it was the Solution for her people, that's bad.
→ Trying to Take Adora's Suggestion and Make it Actionable: This is a part of the Red Wings HQ plans that she and Stephen have, but she wants to move things forward. She's also going to be updating the newbie guide to reflect the increasing badness of the world, the situations people are walking into, and what to do next about it. If anyone would like to help me with this, I'd super, super appreciate it. Clarke is a leader who would ICly do a lot, but I also OOCly have a lot on my plate as a mod.
→ The Message from PM: Since PM also about their expensive ass festival tickets, Clarke will be very curious about this. I don't want to spearhead discussion, but I'd love to play in it!
AREAS OF INTEREST:
→ Leadership and long-term role: Clarke has been with the game since the beginning. She's been through all of the events (though one she sat out and heard about second hand). She also spearheads the bar with Stephen, so there will be areas there where she is people's boss. Clarke is very people-oriented and will help someone figure out what direction they may need in the world if they're feeling a little lost. If your character needs someone to boss them around, Clarke is their gal.
→ Red Wings: Clarke and Stephen Strange both run the bar! You can see the information on this here.
Medical stuff: Clarke can bandage someone up and I can pretend I know a single lick of anything about medicine. I don't. But good news: neither do the writers on The 100.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
→ Medical things! If the thread is just a quick patch up, we can easily handwave this. However, I am totally down for some hurt/comfort if you don't expect me to pay like any attention to the actual medical part of it.
→ Oldbie! Being here since day one, Clarke can help with knowing if someone else's CR has been around before, as long as they've been on the network.
→ Red Wings! If your character works at Red Wings, they know who Clarke is! She is their boss. She has been around a lot more since after the simulation, so she is a permanent fixture there. She helps with food prep in the morning, and does scheduling. If you'd like to work out someone's dynamic with Clarke, let me know.

JOURNAL:
POWER: Mental inducement (berserking [5 minutes] and mind control [10 minutes]). I have a power up idea that involves either truth revealing or a way of clearing someone's mind for logic and rationale, but I haven't pieced together how to go about it yet.
JOB:
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH:
♠ Akechi had a canon update to the end of Royal, so there are officially spoilers there for that. This means that he's changed dramatically in a lot of ways. He's less likely to play games for the hell of it, and more likely to do it with a specific goal in mind. He'll also just tell someone he fucking hates them, because why skirt around it? He's more blunt, to the point, and brittle. But he's also more real as a person.
♠ He fought in the monster attack and mind controlled Daenerys for a brief while. So, there's that!
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:
♠ Further developing his CR!
♠ Now that Akechi is more real, I believe it'll be easier to develop CR because he won't be trolling just to see what happens. While he still has that urge, he's largely curbed it because it's a lot of bullshit and he knows it.
♠ An election post!
AREAS OF INTEREST:
♠ Politics. Akechi worked for the now-deceased gubernatorial candidate, Katelin Jovavich.
♠ Negative CR. Akechi's style of negative CR will change since the canon update, making it so that he'll call someone an idiot instead of implying it. I can't imagine that this will make him more friends.
♠ Conspiracies and investigations. Akechi is naturally inquisitive and good at this stuff, so he'll challenge what someone came up with and poke holes in their logic. He's a natural detective and quite good at it, though not always great at the empathy side of it. Or ever. He's never good at the empathy side of it.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
♠ Akechi is a fake Food Snob, IE he'll go out to expensive restaurants and wait in line just to try it. He actually prefers junk food and sweets.
♠ Akechi keeps up a 2512 version of a Yelp account. He is That Annoying Yelper. You know what I mean.
♠ He rides a bike everywhere he can. Is your character a bike rider? Let's have them compare bike notes.
♠ He visits
Ren's coffee shopand tries to pester him for free coffee and food, but he won't pay it forward to the other Displaced because he's a dickhead. It is known that the two of them are together, so anyone who works with Ren will know that Akechi is his boyfriend. Anyone can feel free to wonder how Ren puts up with this asshole.OVERALL GOALS: Akechi's goals are, simply put, to watch the world burn because he thinks it's full of selfish, easily puppetted sheep. He is slowly beginning to learn that this isn't … correct …
