Happy New Year, Larkerinos! Though we're now a couple of weeks into the year, we're probably all pretending that it's still new. Or hasn't started yet. December 46th, am I right?

Anyway, jokes we ripped off of Twitter aside, here's the CR meme!

Without further ado:

◉ Here's the the Aftermath post, which covers not only our final notes on our 11th event, but notes on any status quo shifts and a rundown of the State of the Game. It's rather long, so feel free to read it at your leisure and ask any questions as needed!

JOB: Harley isn't looking for gainful employment so much as she'll be keeping her ear to the ground and maybe seeing where she can apply her rather unique set of skills, but she's not opposed to getting involved with some particularly unsavory characters if anyone has an in for her on something a little... seedier.
SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: N/A.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: In terms of the event aftermath and game-related changes, Harley was directly involved with the explosion at Pulsar HQ. Technically, she was wearing a face scrambler and wouldn't have been recognized, but she also has a tendency to run her mouth off sometimes and could end up being overheard by the wrong person (or someone who can put two-and-two together if she's not being as subtle as she thinks she is). She's definitely been seen most often in the company of one Killian Jones if anyone would've had reason to see them hanging out together in New Amsterdam.

Apart from that, my number one goal for her is really just continuing to let her meet people! I have no in-depth wishes apart from wanting her to have as much CR as possible and she's relatively easy to throw at anyone because she has no concept of boundaries and will gladly dominate any conversation over a more taciturn type. Come clubbing with her! Accompany her on a shopping trip! Let her talk you into some bad decisions!
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm really into the idea of diverse and varied CR as a player — the wider, the better. This is a character who's prone to negative CR for sure if you don't mind that, but she also manages to endear herself to other people in the same vein so it really depends on how they gel together. A few specifics I'd love to explore in-game in terms of CR types to bounce her off of: fellow criminals, fellow slightly reformed criminals, bad boys and girls, people who want an enabler to show them how to loosen up and have a good time, people who want to see if they can catch her in a more vulnerable moment, people she can try to wear down with her sparkling personality and/or shameless flirting, folks who might be interested in being psychoanalyzed at random, more hero types, more non-humans! You name it, I probably want it.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: She's very forward and won't hesitate to approach anyone, so we can always skip intros there or just assume she's already at least semi-annoyed your character by her mere nature.
OVERALL GOALS: Plot! Come at me! I am genuinely open to whatever and really just operate under the philosophy of "let's smash these two internet barbies together and see what happens" most of the time.

JOB: Currently none; he'd been making money through completely destroying unsuspecting people at poker in the casinos, but now that he's pretty well-known due to the Aerie that probably won't keep working out for him.
SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Lance's hair isn't long, exactly, but it's long enough to be a little wild and clearly a bit curly. Otherwise he looks mostly the same; new and old scars are all hidden from view the vast majority of the time. As for emotional shifts, his personality hasn't really changed, but he's just generally having a terrible time dealing with everything.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Since he returned from the Aerie he's been working on relief efforts in New Amsterdam, as well as trying to figure out moon adventures. This month will probably be more of that; he'll be focused primarily on trying to help with individual people (displaced or native citizens) deal with their experiences and get the help they need, while also trying to deal with moon plans part two (if they happen) and the whole uh... Issue of the Displaced's continued notoriety.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Metaplot! CR! Social intrigue stuff with the world at large! I'm into all of it. Thankfully since Lance is nosy af I have excuse to get him involved in just about anything, and sometimes too much anything.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: If your character's been back from the Aerie before the aftermath, there's handwaving opportunity there!
OVERALL GOALS: Since the mystery of things is winding down a little, focus can shift to be less 'what' and 'who' and more to 'how' when it comes to handling stuff, so he'll be in on all of that. He's very focused on trying to help get the Displaced in general into a position where they can better control what's happening to them, especially in regard to coming and going.

The target will feel compelled to obey if he tells them to back off, leave him be, or respect his space. This is purely a defensive ability, meaning it's only activated when he feels as if his agency is being threatened or if he feels particularly steamrolled. The effect will only last from the moment it's activated to a couple of seconds after the target has stood down. This isn't a mind control ability in the sense that he can make someone do whatever he wants. Obviously this is not done without player permission!

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Still just winging it. I intend to be very CR focused though, so Fenris meeting a bunch of people would be good?

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Fenris is very standoffish and prickly and is def one of those people that you see and you're like, "did he just fucking glare at me? who are you? I don't even KNOW you wtf" and he was probably just thinking about what to have for lunch because his face is just stuck like that. He also has the potential to be shockingly conversational if you don't immediately piss him off? Probably seen drinking a lot. Too early to tell, but that's usually a thing.

JOB: he currently works as a bouncer in the red light district. that'll be changing soon! he'll either get involved with mercenary groups thanks to his "snipe"-status in the aerie, OR he'll stay on the straight and narrow and become a personal trainer. i'm down for either option tbh, just depends on how things go icly!
SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: maine was a certified Disaster in the aerie. he relentlessly pursued power/pleasure, and he happily murdered people for a taste of both. he'll be less murder-happy now, buuuut he's still gonna be a Disaster for a while. expect an increase in impulsive behavior and recklessness! he'll also feel high-key horrified by his aerie!self, though idk if he'll stay that way. again, depends on how things go icly. (oh, his body will also remain slightly older, but like … he already looks so much older than he is, it prob won't be noticeable to most characters. 🤣)
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: as mentioned on the wrap-up post, maine will be contacted by judas! depending on how that convo goes, he'll likely reach out to those he trusts afterward. aside from that, i'm planning to focus on following up with his cr. that'll probably go like so:
AREAS OF INTEREST: rn i'm going with the flow and seeing how things play out icly.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: from the aerie: maine was a snipe and a carrion. he'd been a celebrity for something like 10 years. he was best known for his brutality, his pursuit of pleasure (aka party animal), and his blatant love of his power.
from the real world: maine is way more low-key. he typically avoids red wings, but he's also a 7-foot-tall wall of muscle, so he's Very Noticeable when he does pop by. his roommates are carolina & wash, he fought a lot of monsters during the invasion, he basically lives at the gym, aaaaand that's all i can think of offhand.
OVERALL GOALS: i'm just here to have a good time with cr!

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: mostly just to get her situated! she's very, very new and all this technology is very, very wild. for reference, she's from early 1900s japan so she is a ye olde. she's the type to throw herself into whatever work she can find so, like, expect this tiny lady popping up everywhere and poking her nose into whatever and wherever she can. also not afraid to get her hands dirty.
AREAS OF INTEREST: this is such a copout but honestly anything and everything. i mostly want to get her out there and try to meet everyone; shinobu isn't shy or taciturn and is all about learning whatever she can whenever she can, especially in this setting that's completely different from her own world. she typically gets along with most people and is pretty perceptive, so i'm really interested to see what kinds of cr comes out of it! here is her app, if you'd like more info!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: i'm always cool with handwaving intros! shinobu is polite and professional, so if your character has been hurt at some point, chances are she would have offered to assist. she's a former field medic and pharmacologist, so she's used to dealing with all kinds of injuries and also all kinds of people/patients.
OVERALL GOALS: see.... above lmfao i'm down for whatever ok, come at me.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: She will be handling things by attempting to destroy people in the fighting rings and not thinking about what her weird-ass reaction to the AU event says about her :) She'll scream at anyone who tries to talk to her about it :) :) :)
AREAS OF INTEREST: OH BOY EVERYTHING. She's a BCE gal suddenly finding herself in a 26th century world, so very many things are unfamiliar to her, and that's a trope I love to play around with. She's violent, has a strong penchant for cruelty, and is prone to explosive outbursts and meltdowns, so if anyone wants to deal with that in any form hmu. She has discovered that she likes using the empathy bond to make other people feel her own pain and anger, but hates when it makes her feel other people's nice and pleasant feelings instead. She's also fairly interested in efforts being made to get home, so for those with strong stomachs and a high tolerance for her flavor of bullshit, it'll be possible to work with her - but she's still volatile at best, even with allies.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Feel free to have your character spot her wandering the city (she sometimes uses public transportation, but mostly she just walks), carrying her belongings in a ratty duffle that doubles as a sleeping bag holder. She also has a titanium bat, because so far everyone has been smart enough not to give her access to swords/knives. She generally tucks herself into out-of-the-way alleys for the night, but rests, eats, etc. in more public places during the day. She's homeless nomadic, tyvm, and while she might eventually nab one of the teeny pod apartments, it's not a big priority for her right now.
OVERALL GOALS: ICly, she wants to go home so she can continue her prolonged and obsessive quest for vengeance against the woman she's earmarked as her rival (said rival is less than thrilled about this earmarking and just wants her to go away); it's literally all that keeps her going and is what she's built her entire life around, and she feels that without it she has nothing. OOCly, I don't really have any concrete plans; I'm just here to delve into her fucked-up psychology because I find it fascinating. Honestly, she's still kind of settling in; she was only in the game for one OOC month before the AU event kicked off, so.

if your character was in the aerie, they might know him ass a two-time victor and the agent to his extremely successful quarry snipe brother, nathan. he's probably getting the cold shoulder from the general populace for being, you know, both a murderer and a purveyor of Big Murder Energy - though it's not nearly as bad as what nate's getting.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: well, his hair's as long as it is in his icons, so that's nice. (the hairline didn't come back, alas.) he's adopted the viewpoint of "it happened, but that doesn't mean it's real" and is frankly, probably spending too much time alone. you know, like a healthy guy with no trauma and no issues that need dealing with. slept outside on a rooftop for his first couple nights back. don't ask him about it or do.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: a short list of things that sound like fun to me includes:
• figuring out he has diamond appendages and proceeding to show off like the asshole he is
• flirting massively because he's fine and nothing's wrong
• plenty of hanging out at bars, drinking, shooting pool
• being a sweaty gross middle-aged weirdo who climbs up buildings and gets into places he's not supposed to be? this weather's fine, he likes it, just wait until it turns cold and he starts bitching
• working at the casino once things are up and running enough for that, slinging drinks and stuff like that
• maybe getting another tattoo? like a sensible guy
• moon stuff tho
• and hell if he doesn't want a cigarette right about now

that said, i'm not overly married to much! if something else strikes you, i'm here for it. about the only thing he won't be doing is helping rebuild, haha.

AREAS OF INTEREST:
• i'm really enjoying the cr he's making, and i'd love to keep working on what he's got and keep building more. especially interested in characters who aren't particularly close with his brother, because he needs to go out and make his own friends!!!

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: sam works at a casino, bums around red wings and a variety of other bars, and lives in the same apartment as nathan drake and wade wilson. beyond that, it's reasonable to have seen/encountered him on the underground fighting circuit, in the red-light district, wandering around rooftops, climbing buildings, fucking around on the network, and anywhere a party's happening. if you want to handwave any of these possibilities, please just lmk first.

OVERALL GOALS: get sam to be less of a selfish dick? sam's goals are, generally, to get paid, get laid, and do something incredible.

OVERALL GOALS: More CR opportunities, positive and negative! He's got some deep friendships and connections that are going in interesting directions, but I would love to throw him at some new characters and see what happens. He'd also be interesting in finding more sparring partners, people to talk about art with, or possibly discussing power armor. He has a set of in-universe body armor that he stole from one of the mercenaries way back when, but it is not his beloved power armor.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Glimmer is noticeably a bit jumpier and more paranoid.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: She's going to be trying to pick up the pieces of her ML life. Both of her canonmates are gone and losing Adora and Catra and not knowing what happened to them is goign to hit her hard. She's going to need some support from people and will probably be throwing herself into anything she can find that involves helping people in order keep herself busy and sane.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'd like Glimmer to get involved in helping others in some way. Whether that's finding a way home or just helping take care of other people in New Amsterdan, she's a helper and a doer who needs goals and something to work towards. She may get involved with the Kestrels if she finds them justified or work towards independence for the colonies.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: She's a barista, went to New Tokyo to help with the recovery effort there, and has helped organize some stuff at Red Wings in the past. She's also the one running the self-defense program started back before the AU, so any of those would be a good place they could have run into each other.
OVERALL GOALS: I'd like to expand Glimmer's circle of CR and meet some new people! Also find ways to get more involved in plot and what not. I am usually not super great at plot involvement because I never quite know what to do or where to go, but I want to try!

POWER: Reflection Manipulation - currently he can talk and see through any mirror/reflective surface he's seen before, and he can cast illusions onto them so people see what he wants to on reflective surfaces. His new power will be telekinesis.
JOB: He works at Red Wings and is helping Marcos with a soup kitchen, although obviously everyone is doing relief help at the moment and so is he.
SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Quentin was sort of faced with one of his biggest problems, which is what he is sometimes too in his head and obsesses over puzzles and answers instead of the human side of things. It's caused him trouble before and this was a version of him in the Eerie. He feels bad about it because he sees a lot of his own flaws in his evil-mentally self. He also was married to Midge and now she's gone and the loss of Eliot + another love is sort of throwing him through a loop. Outside of that he's just emotionally exhausted and went through some losses.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Quentin's struggling with a 'what next' sort of thing as he copes with what they've learned about the gods and Henries. He's not mentally in a good place at all but he's trying hard to keep it together. This is going to ramp up to him eventually finding some other passion projects.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Quentin is going to be very interested in finding the rest of the gods and in unlocking other gates around the world. He assumes there might be others in every city. He's interested in North America. He figures there's still plenty they don't know because he can never give up on mysteries, his first true love.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Quentin's a nice guy and very friendly. If you are new he was there in New Tokyo greeting everyone. He's got this sort of sad puppy look to him, but he's kind and helpful. He's at Red Wings a lot and he often is in the safehouse keeping people company. He has a pack of cards and has poker nights sometimes, and he's always willing to teach people how to play.
OVERALL GOALS: Now that the mystery of how they got there is solved, Quentin's focus will be on the gods and gates and supernatural elements that are not manmade (well Henries-made). Also he's always up for relief work and helping out.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES:

→ Clarke still has her Kestrel tattoo on her right shoulder blade.

→ One of the big things is that Clarke is dealing with being more emotionally open, as well as more … aggressively aggressive, bypassing any manipulative attempts at diplomacy. For the first time in her life, she was allowed to wear her emotions on her sleeves without hiding them away for other people's sakes, and it's something that she's adjusting back to now.

→ Overall, time in the Aerie was good for Clarke. It let her cope (albeit badly) with the loss of her parents in an explosive way. Of course, this was bad for her, but it was a new way to get out her problems. The other thing is that she got to see what it was like to be a rebel rather than a politician—pushing for change from a new angle.

→ She also has had some perspective on her relationships with other people, so that's something I'm angling to explore post-AU. Clarke was a mess before the AU started, and wants to make up for it in her own way.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:

→ I have designs on doing a post with Clarke, but a lot will depend on my motivation!

→ Probably looking to newbies to staff Red Wings!

AREAS OF INTEREST:

→ Leadership and long-term role: Clarke has been with the game since the beginning. She's been through all of the events (though one she sat out and heard about second hand). She also spearheads the Displaced-run bar with Stephen, so there will be areas there where she is people's boss. Clarke is very people-oriented and will help someone figure out what direction they may need in the world if they're feeling a little lost. If your character needs someone to boss them around, Clarke is their gal.

→ Red Wings: Clarke and Stephen Strange both run the bar! You can see the information on this here. While Clarke wasn't always present in the early Red Wings months, she is present most of the time now.

→ Medical stuff: Clarke can bandage someone up and I can pretend I know a single lick of anything about medicine. I don't. But good news: neither do the writers on The 100.

→ Delegating: Clarke is good at giving other people things to do, so if your character needs a project, she can help. She ... also loves telling people what to do, but I'm happy to have Clarke do what she can to help get your character moving if that's something you need!

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:

→ Medical things! If the thread is just a quick patch up, we can easily handwave this. However, I am totally down for some hurt/comfort if you don't expect me to pay like any attention to the actual medical part of it.

→ Oldbie! Being here since day one, Clarke can help with knowing if someone else's CR has been around before, as long as they've been on the network.

→ Red Wings! If your character works at Red Wings, they know who Clarke is! She is their boss. She has been around a lot more since after the simulation (this was May OOC), so she is a permanent fixture there. She helps with food prep in the morning, and does scheduling. If you'd like to work out someone's dynamic with Clarke, let me know.

OVERALL GOALS: Clarke is between long-term goals. Her big one is to bring her people to this world, but she needs to step back and reconsider how she's going to get there. Despite being in the game for a long time, Clarke is more people-driven than metaplot driven. She thinks corporations are dumb and has believed in the gods for a while, but sees things more as a means to an end than as being a personal focal point of her own drive.

- couple of new scars (getting stabbed in the throat; little a lightning scar off-centre on his chest branching out more towards the right pec, as a treat), but he's already been scarred up a bit in canon/doesn't care about these ones, they're just there
- is of the opinion that who you were in the Aerie is reflective, on some level, of who you are in real life; no emotional shifts though because emotions? we ain't acknowledging those ha ha
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:
- CR!! deepening what he's got going and adding some new stuff, hopefully. and using that to springboard him into the plot a little more, since he wouldn't really get into it on his own, but he can be convinced to take part
-- one possible avenue for this is I believe he meets the criteria to be recruited in the UN's criminal investigation task force - former public Shrike who only just arrived in the game a couple of days before the Aerie kicked off, so he's got no established connections to the Displaced/Red Wings - which he really wouldn't care about on his own buuuut
- also depending on how her arrival goes, Naomi is here!! so he's probably going to be sticking around her a lot
AREAS OF INTEREST:
- just types the letters "c" and "r" over and over and over
-- specifically though, I'd like him to 1. build on what he's already got going and 2. interact with more morally grey/jerk characters who can test his already-shaky sense of morality, because he hasn't gotten enough of that post-Aerie yet!
- literally anything to do with powers stuff, blue or gold. he's only tested out the empathy bond like, once (and hates it but is trying not to shut the door on it completely, but he hates it and will be wearing gloves for the foreseeable future) and knows nothing about his own individual abilities but I really wanna go there
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
- he was publicly a Shrike in the Aerie so if your character would have recognized him from that, that's great, let's do something with it
- spending a lot of time at fight club because we're processing our emotions in normal, healthy ways
- Red... Wings...? he's barely spent any time in New Amsterdam lmao he barely knows what anything is
- if you've got anything built up with Naomi, there's a chance that positive/negative CR could extend to him as well/name dropping her would work; seriously, he's gonna be clingy

- gotta get him involved in more network/text stuff honestly, personal inboxes and the like. I think there's like a 50/25/25 split on why I haven't done any of this yet: my own social anxiety which I will get over once I do it like, literally once/he's not particularly chatty so it has been ic to not do anything there yet/the world has been a mess since he arrived so you know

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Wash has new scars, both physical and emotional. Mostly he's questioning if he's still the type of person he used to be deep down, because in the Aerie when he lost everything he went on a murderous rampage not entirely dissimilar to his past canon self. (He was briefly a villain! Shock!)
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Mostly re-establishing CR and figuring out where they're at considering their new memories of each other/what they've done to one another. I'm looking forward to hitting up new characters as well, and likely joining up with PRESERVE and fighting the roving bands of UNA soldiers to protect the general populus. Before everyone returned from the Aerie he was hopping around to other major cities using the Gates to help as many traumatized returning NPCs as he could and he wants to continue to help. And and and getting in on the Judas stuff.
AREAS OF INTEREST: He could use an in joining PRESERVE, and I plan to level up his power again following this event so if anyone needs patching up after a UNA encounter or something, he could make himself useful there. He's also experienced a full lifetime of memories crammed into his head all at once before, so will be hanging out at Red Wings a lot offering to talk to people who are struggling to reconcile things. Need help readjusting/figuring out who you are? Wash is there to help!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Workout buddies are always welcome, Wash can be seen around the city running/doing bodyweight exercises and yoga/being a terrible insomniac. Red Wings workers can assume they know each other, as can Fight Club denizens -- he isn't often in the ring these days but has friends who are so sometimes he places careful bets for extra cash.
OVERALL GOALS: More CR!!! That's basically it. Trying to get him more deeply involved with the world and not just his own drama.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Working to fix the city up -- Drake's part of PRESERVE and also pretty good with plumbing so I'm going to try and get him in on the repairs and such, and he'll be around to help anyone traumatized by the Aerie.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Drake's big thing is protecting people so the roving bands of UNA are an opening there. Also if anyone knows more about the Gods stuff that's relevant to his interests due to past game experience. I am personally a bit out of that loop so an IC in on world lore for him would be much appreciated. And if anyone just needs a hug and to talk about their trauma, come to this guy.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He hangs out at Red Wings a lot, and stocks the Safehouse so anyone who lives there should recognize him from his grocery and essentials runs. If anyone else is working on the plumbing feel free to assume they've met during orientation type things as well, he'll have that in his top level this month. He also does city patrols out of habit and they'll actually be useful now!
OVERALL GOALS: All the CR. Drake is extremely friendly and chill and gets along with just about anyone, so feel free to hit me up if you want to meet him and we can figure something out.

AREAS OF INTEREST: cr!! a lot of it. criminal activities. anyone out there who deals with stolen goods? also if anyone wants to laugh at his identity as a fairy tale character since he has a hook for a hand now, that's fine too. fourthwalling happens a lot in his canon. is it even fourthwalling when it's canon?
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: he loves to stir up trouble wherever he goes, but he isn't aggressive or bloodthirsty, so he's approachable. in fact he's quite chatty. he spends his free time drinking and flirting with women. last month he was in a Mood because he was dragged here against his will, but becoming friends with harley quinn and coming to terms with the situation has made him less likely to act like he wants to be punched in the face. maybe.
OVERALL GOALS: hook's plan is to make a name for himself in the criminal circles and start building his reputation from the ground up so he can eventually get himself a crew and a ship of some sort. he wants to be free (and rich) and travel the world. ooc: i'm very cr driven when it comes to rp, so i'd like him to meet a lot of people. maybe he'll eventually care enough about the world to be helpful? feel free to have your characters assume there's something suspicious/annoying about him, negative cr is great.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Dean lived an arguably normal apple-pie life -- with no brother and a big ol' gaping hole in that regard which he filled with failed relationships. Without the stigma surrounding being queer and no John Winchester influence, he was way more comfortable with his sexuality and had a relationship with Cas shortly before he died.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Aggressively hunting and following the metaplot so he can ignore all feelings and not acknowledge anything that happened in the Aerie forever thanks.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'd like to get a couple more bits of Close Cr that he considers family, because I'd love to run through some of the cliche betrayal and forgiveness plots, the passionate 'you're family to me' speeches, the self-sacrificing for them thing, you know. The whole shebang.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He used to work part time at Red Wings in the evenings before he got fired, so anyone prior to the Aerie will likely have seen him there. He'll start frequenting the bar where Sam and Kai work instead, so for the Displaced who are suddenly sketched by Red Wings that migrate on to other pastures, he can be spotted there as well. He was also on a stupid American Idol singing show before the aerie, and he had a dramatic romantic death in the quarry that was likely to be televised. People can probably recognize his face if they've seen either.
OVERALL GOALS: Getting Dean into a comfortable place with Cas. Developing really close familial CR and then fucking with it. Making people go ??? when he goes Dark Winchester on JPG.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: booker has his regular hair back! gone are his eurotrash thuglyfe days! he will also be keeping his newly-inked kestrel tattoo, which is located below his collar bone (think: same location as sam and dean's anti-possession tattoos). he's had a pretty interesting character shift in the aerie and will be coming out of it with a slightly complicated, new vigour for life, which if you're canon-familiar at all, he was sorely lacking. a rebel flame burns in his heart now! but he's definitely still going to struggle with who he actually is (a garbage clown), what he did to his family, and now this newfound set of memories.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: definitely check in on his fam (hugs pls???), make sure everyone is cool; possibly keep andy from running away with a horse; awkwardly approach (i'm down with inbox stuff or closed log stuff!!) some of the people he had very close bonds with in the aerie; maybe talk about those weird memories, maybe not. GET A JOB.
AREAS OF INTEREST: so booker became a freshly-minted kestrel by the end of the au event, and coming back to the real world, he'll still feel that drive within him. i'd love to build on that, get him more involved in the politics of new amsterdam and the displaced, etc. and eff some isht up. vive la revolution!

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: gonna get married??? that'll be a thing.
AREAS OF INTEREST: she's probably going to get specifically into the metaphysical side of things with dreams and gods, with a side of helping the rebellion efforts of the kestrels and morningstar when she can.

Unfortunately, the Cardinal version of John Murphy isn't all that different from the regular flavor. Given the same set of opportunities, Murphy would have made the same exact choices. And he knows it. That's a truth he has to reckon with now, because he certainly wasn't happy with the way it all panned out.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:

Murphy already feels like an outcast among the Displaced and that perception is going to worsen now that everyone has memories of a version of him that was overtly closer to his inner nature. He's going to keep his head down and avoid the people who were close to him in the AU. And whenever he gets a chance he'll be reconnecting with Riverstone to secure his position with them.

RED WINGS:

Murphy practically lives here but he hasn't gotten to socialize much with his coworkers. It would be nice to make some friends! He takes a lot of pride in his cooking (which is actually really good) and really warms to someone if they compliment the food.

SEINGEDAKRU:

Murphy, Clarke, Bellamy, and Lexa make up a sort of family unit with a bond that's nigh unbreakable. Their loyalty to one another can be… extreme. To put it lightly. Anyone who gets into some business with one of them is likely to get tangled up with all of them. So if you've got CR with any of his kru, tap me to get Murphy by extension.

RIVERSTONE:

Murphy is secretly spying on the Displaced and reporting back to this shady corporation in exchange for a large paycheck and a sense of security. If there's any particularly juicy information you'd like him to catch onto and pass along, I'd love to hear it.

CULTS:

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Murphy's been revered as a god. He's a Nightblood (resistant to high levels of radiation thanks to his genetically-engineered black blood) and a Prime (an immortal bodysnatcher worshiped by fanatics who didn't know any better), plus he was a Cardinal and part of the original Conclave in the Aerie, and he… hates all of it. Not the power, but the reverence. He may be a snake but he has a guilty conscience. The last thing he wants is to be idolized by the innocent masses. Which of course means I have to carry on the tradition and give him a growing base of followers. Please resent him for it.

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:

Murphy lives with Clarke, Bellamy, and Lexa, so anyone who hangs around their place might run into him. He's usually in the kitchen at Red Wings, but when his shift is over, he's been known to hang around and drink for a few hours. We can also work out AU things! Murphy was a close friend to Stephen Strange (who eventually killed him for his betrayal) and godfather to John/Homelander. He was taken hostage by the Kestrels after being lured by Bellamy and provided the information that led to the bombing and the revelation about the gods.

OVERALL GOALS:

Murphy is constantly wrestling with morality and loyalty. I love putting him in positions that challenge him there. His #1 goal is to stay alive, and while he's learning to be less selfish, he makes bad decisions when he's scared. Since he's an actual (yet undiscovered) traitor to the Displaced and was a straight-up villain in the Aerie, I'm open to the consequences of his choices. And remember: His thirst is the reason the Volary fell! Love him or hate him for it.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES:
-He has his full head of hair back.
-For the first time ever he knows what it's like to have deeper personal connections with people and, more drastically, an actual family. This is going to make his emotional state even more fragile than it usually is while he processes all of that.
-On a smaller level, he's somewhat fine with being referred to as John now whereas before he strongly preferred Homelander. It's still a little weird to him when people call him by his civilian name but he won't correct them.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Once he learns that the option of being a corporate sellout is pretty much closed off to him because he was a Cardinal, he'll be very interested in pursuing the religion/worshipers angle because he has to feed that god complex of his somehow. He'll also be trying to touch base with anyone he had a significant relationship with in the Aerie.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I have a lot of potential areas of interest with him, and which direction he pursues will just depend on who he gets CR with and where his development goes. Some potential things I'm really interested in exploring are:

• Learning how to be an actual human being now that he's not an invincible super-being capable of destroying the world. Regardless of what else happens to him this will likely be his primary struggle. He could learn to cope with it on some level and be a (slightly) better person, he could try and fail and backslide into being very awful, or he could go the denial route and give in to his delusions of grandeur. Either way it will be fun and involve lots of angst and going to terrible places mentally.


• He's absolutely going to pursue the religion/worshipers aspects so anyone that will also be doing that or would be against that would be some interesting CR!


• He liked his life in the Aerie and has lingering anger towards the Kestrels for destroying it, and he just doesn't like rebels in general so I'm down for some conflict.


• CR-wise, he's very emotionally stunted and due to his isolated upbringing he has a hard time making connections with other people. Here he's forced to try and relate to them on some level (and has his experience in the Aerie to contrast with his actual lab rat childhood), so I'm interested in that and in situations where he'd get to drop his public persona. Though he's really reluctant to use the empathy bond right now (because surprise surprise he's an absolutely terrible person underneath all that fake smiling) I'd like to push him into it because it could open up some interesting possibilities. Dream sharing and the chest objects interest me a lot as well. Basically anyone who'd be willing to try and connect with him even though he's awful (also worth noting that while he does have an insufferable superiority complex, he respects other supers much more than ordinary humans, and all of the Displaced have powers and fit in the super category in his mind so he'll be less awful).


• He doesn't consider himself a villain but he definitely is one so horrible villain CR, please!


• Also interested in having him chat about the business of being a superhero and how it works in other worlds compared to his own (where superheroes are basically corporate-controlled money-makers that do what the company tells them and cynically try to profit off of saving the world).

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He is very extroverted and likes to be up in everyone's business, especially the other Displaced, so there's plenty of opportunity to run into him. If he has positive CR with your character he will absolutely encourage them to come spend some time with him because he's needy and likes attention.
OVERALL GOALS: ICly he wants to establish himself in a position of power again because his time in the AU only made him hungrier for that. OOCly I absolutely want to force him to confront his messed up emotional state and hurt him a lot (empathy bonds anyone??).

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Settling in, meeting all the people. Kai is an elfin (he's got pointy ears and purple eyes and fangs) who dislikes all the other elfin, distrusts magic and likes human technology. Mostly he's going to be missing his cat and his guns, trying not to think about the fact that he always knew he'd outlive all his (human) friends (since he assumes that's at play here).

He's a lot feisty and impulsive, a pretty big flirt, but he tends to take his friendships super seriously and is pretty loyal - although he also has no tolerance for being on the receiving end of betrayal. He'll be checking out the bar scene to start and to try to gather a better feeling for what's going on, how people react, and getting to know them.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Again mostly getting into things - want to get him involved in the game and getting to know people, for better and for worse.

SUMMARY OF AERIE CHANGES: Quin showed a lot of his true colors in the Aerie to people. He's gross, sleazy, and manipulative. While he will try to work on re-establishing his image as 'good,' it's totally fine for characters that interacted with him to have sharper eyes/sense for his actually awful ways.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Post-AU, Quin won't feel any remorse for what he's done/the people he'd hurt. He'll chalk it up to 'that sure was weird, right? back to business as usual' and try to dismiss things. I'm totally up for people not being okay with this, trying to explain to him why he needs to apologize (though he will politely decline) and see just how emotionally inept he can be.

AREAS OF INTEREST: While I feel a little overwhelmed by metaplot personally, I do want to find more ways to integrate Quin into things since he's a character who would be interested in it all! He's offered to use his Xenobiology skillz for stuff but I'm still looking for other ways to get him those connections.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He's a busybody, always out and about, so feel free to have your character seen him around! He likes to pick up people at bars or write notes (and terrible poetry) in a quiet setting somewhere too.

• Nate has one or two new scars from it, the deepest and worst of his injuries from the many Quarries he participated in.
• Struggling to deal with two decades of being under mental, emotional, and physical control by others and having no autonomy.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:
• Nate's original intent to get to the moon was a little stymied, but he's still hoping to make contact with Henries, who he estimated was alive up there a while ago!
• Learn that he can bend metal.
• Currently lying very low, however, because he was a well-known celebrity face in The Aerie - partly for branding, movies, advertising, and partly because he was adept at surviving in the Quarries - and is easily recognizable. He spent twenty years being blackmailed by Cardinals in The Aerie, and he's just looking for air now. Wherever he can get it. But the lack of anonymity is really, really hard for him.

AREAS OF INTEREST:
• Nate has two years of experience living in another alternate world before he spent the last three-quarters of a year here, so he's got a pretty wide breadth of knowledge on this sort of thing now, for anyone who's got questions!
• Any new CR! He's a genuinely friendly guy who comes across as a meathead until you hit that sweet spot of pinging his History Nerd button and then you can't shut him up.
• Getting him to open up to people, holy shit. He's notorious for bricking everything up all the time, which is also why people get the impression he's kind of a goober most of the time.

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
• He was a career thief and very, very good at it. Used to be more reserved, but is fairly open about it now so pulling jobs with him is a good bet, if you're into that.
• Catch him at the casino or a local fight club late into the evening (more frequently), Red Wings (less frequently), and often on the side of or on top of a building. PARKOUR!!!!!!

OVERALL GOALS: Nate is fairly convinced he died in his own world, and ultimately I'd like for him to really accept and acknowledge that on a deeper level. With that in mind, he understands this may be the last place he can be, and he wants to make the most of it and contribute, make a mark, feel like he has a purpose. Vague and esoteric, I know.
