FEBRUARY CR MEME
Hey there gang, it looks like it's February, which is … right before March? How'd we hit March again? More Twitter jokes to be found here. Well, let's jump right into it.
◉ Right here is the February calendar. There's a little bit of aftermath from the Aerie in there, along with information about New Amsteram's new animal friends. Our calendar is a springboard for plots that people may be interested in, so feel free to grab something if it suits the character!
◉ That said, there are a few outstanding plots if people are interested! The Kestrels, which are an extremist rebel group, need some direction. There's the colonies (and spaaaaaaaace opportunities), as well as the Special Investigation Task Force. There are a few plots also in the works, most notably heading off to North America and Quentin's quest, involving picking up artifacts at the ruins.
◉ The Arrival Log is live! We've clarified a few things, so please check out the summary of events! This is also the time of the Insomniac's Ball, and the new head of the cult, Nirvana. There's a section to ask her questions, for anyone who's interested.
◉ And remember if you need to poke around, there's always The Story So Far page. CTRL + F to your heart's content.
◉ Check out our Setting Page which contains some updates to the colonies, the wildlife, as well as the AI section. That's not all inclusive, but you get the drift!
◉ If you need some fresh ideas, please feel free to take a look at the JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE for inspiration. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

AREAS OF INTEREST: I am a big fan of fashion, makeup, music, and various forms of art! I love anything creepy, so horror is my usual genre! I also fell back into anime and kpop during quarantine. POWER: electricity generation
JOB: For his "cover" and a steady income so that he can afford a few necessary items, Simon will probably work retail at whatever Gamestop/Hot Topic/Dungeons and Dragons type equivalent New Amsterdam offers. At night or on his off time he will probably get involved in whatever shady thing that will allow him to damage property and do crime. He's... Also easily impressionable so joining a cult is not off the table. He is one of two leaders of a cult of children back "home."
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: This is not the first time that Simon has been ripped from a place he called home and put into a different world entirely, but you can bet that he is not processing any of it very well. Because of his trauma centering around his first few months on the Infinity Train and being abandoned by the first "person" (train denizen) he trusted, Simon is not going to trust anyone to avoid making the same mistake again. That being said, once he has his initial mental breakdown he will absolutely be playing fake nice to gain intel on the others who are in a similar situation, and be determined to enhance his powers and "climb the ranks" if he perceives that there are any. Trauma and history of train person murder aside, Simon is capable of having fun and being a normal teen! If he trusts the team enough, he may fall in line in due time.
AREAS OF INTEREST: There are quite a few!
-Simon is desperately in need of a parent/good adult role model, as he is clearly a traumatized young person who has lacked guidance and care for around a decade. While one of the rules of the Apex (child cult) is not to trust "adult passengers," Simon struggles with identity and is likely to cave and rely on an older person who seems powerful or strong.
-He... Is a huge fantasy geek, so any elves, people who slay dragons, or have swords will immediately peak his interest
-Peers!!! Simon is most likely to trust people around his own age (teens and early twenties folks) and he is very lonely, the kid has one close friend in canon and it's an extremely codependent and unhealthy relationship ASDFKJ
-Mental health professionals??? Omg, he will be so resistant but he needs so much help... plz
-Sparring buddies! He is clusmy but tenacious. He will do everything he can to be stronger and has had significant fighting experience
-Nerd cr: Simon's defining trait is his obsession with numbers, logic, and overplanning everything. He is neurotic and will probably start his own alphabetically organized set of handwritten notes about his new world, as well as all his teammates.
-If your character would like to go to a dump with a bat just to smash some shit, he would definitely join in on the fun.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: um he might just beat up an npc or a random person in town and steal their clothes so, if anyone wants to witness a crime and someone getting away i... yeah idk. Other new characters who might recognize him from the safehouse will notice that he laid low and avoided speaking to anybody.
OVERALL GOALS: The goal is to give simon a second chance and have him improve as a person, however difficult that may be... he could also go full supervillain in his second month here, time will only tell.
