Surprise, it's July! We've got some new players coming in and we're nearing cap, so it's a great time to kickstart some new CR or work on something you've already got in the works.

So, here we go!

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Got caught up in that whole simulation thing and took part in a rather bracing regime of torture and medical experimentation which all too likely had a very negligible effect on his psyche. Honest. He's fine.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: I’d like for him to learn more about Morningstar and hopefully get into more of a career that he’s used to-- mainly, mercenary work. I’d also like him to get an opportunity to realize/potentially evolve his healing powers, because he still doesn’t realize he has them.
AREAS OF INTEREST: More opportunities for empathy bonds! More CR! More shenanigans!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Wade’s pretty much got a steady shift at Red Wings, so if your character either works there or frequents there as a customer, odds are he’s caught sight of you more than once. Especially if you're hot.
OVERALL GOALS: Getting a dedicated circle of friends is my main goal for Wade, but I’d also like for him to actually grow to be a better person and actually care about keeping those friends around, as he’s pathetically unused to having people who actually tolerate his existence.

AREAS OF INTEREST: Garak is a spy. Garak wants to dig into everything and everyone and make friends but also find out who is a threat and who is not. He is not trusting, but he'll gladly pretend to be. I welcome all CR but I'd most love:
1) people who are determined to friendly at him until he has to accept that maybe they're friends

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Murphy arrived just last month and was immediately taken in by Clarke and Bellamy. There's a bit of friction between the three of them, as Murphy's lying about his canon point and the other two can tell there's something off about him. He's expressed discomfort at the idea of Displaced going public, but since Clarke's doing it, he's going along with the plan. He was also hired at Red Wings, which is convenient because it puts a lot of alcohol within reach.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: You can bet that Murphy will be involved in anything Clarke or Bellamy get up to. Despite his whining, he takes orders from both of them. And since he's hiding an enormous betrayal from them, he'll be trying to keep his head down and just fit in.
AREAS OF INTEREST: It's been almost a month since anyone has done a violence to Murphy, which means he's way overdue. His power can cause everyone in his vicinity to spontaneously blame him for anything that goes wrong nearby, which is a great excuse for your character to lose their shit and kick him around. No one would even blame you! Also, anyone who's looking for the weak link in Clarke's inner circle can find it in Murphy. Does your character hate her? Try getting on Murphy's good side.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Murphy lives in Clarke's apartment, so anyone who also lives there has definitely seen him around. He's usually in the kitchen at Red Wings, but when his shift is over, he's known to hang around and drink for… a few hours. And that's about all he does. Which is sad.
OVERALL GOALS: Difficult though it may be, since he's an asshole, it would be good for Murphy to develop some relationships outside of his Skaikru family. You just have to kind of chisel away at him. He's in a complicated place with the people he loves, and I'd also like to see his loyalties challenged. He feels constantly on the verge of being found out as a villain. It'd be fun to see him tugged in one direction or another.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: maine lost some very important cr, then his power caused him to try to kill one of his best friends. 🙃 It's Fine, everything's fine. now he's trying to learn how to control his power without, y'know, murdering anyone.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:

• learning how to control his power! or at least what it does, since he's still not sure.
  
• following up on cr! oocly june was rough for me rp-wise but i am Ready for new things.
  
• chucking him into the event! no idea what he'll be doing yet. still chucking him in. 👍
  
• he's involved in a potential judas rescue attempt! (idk exactly when this'll happen, but plans are in the works.)
  
• that's it for solid plans, i think? i'm very wide open to new cr, new stuff with existing cr, etc. let's do things!

AREAS OF INTEREST: maine is heavily influenced by the people close to him. their causes become his causes; their protection becomes his priority. so mostly i'm interested in building those connections with other characters!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:

• maine is a 7-foot-tall wall of muscle. he stands out. if you'd like your character to have seen him around the safehouse or during the simulation, that's fine by me! (notably, he does not frequent red wings.)
  
• he hits up fight clubs occasionally. he is a giant, brutal motherfucker who doesn't typically hang around after his fight, but can def work something out.
  
• he also basically lives at the gym, so gym buddies are a+.

OVERALL GOALS: icly, maine's goal rn is to gain control of his power. oocly, my goal is to deepen his existing connections to others and establish new ones.

AREAS OF INTEREST: Steve's coming out of two years on the run from various governments and being a vigilante, so he's not looking for any committed relationships with organizations right off the bat, but I'm definitely interested in getting him exposed to the ins and outs of this world and such to get him better grounded.

CR I love: reluctant allies, arguments, slowburns to trust, just getting him to open up to new people and surprises

CR he can give: all that stuff + moral compass man (with some more grey than some folks give him credit for), not ur grandpa but maybe getting curmudgeon-y in his middle years, fight-y fight-y sparring things, an open ear

• Had a very public fight with Rey in Red Wings that was recorded and uploaded onto the internet-- if you'd like your character to have seen or heard of that, feel free.
• Had another very public yelling match with Glimmer in the Safehouse, so feel free to have seen that if your character was in the Safehouse last month too.
• Tried to improve her control over dreamspace and tried to convince Stephen Strange to wipe her memory, unsuccessfully, oops.
• Ran away from her apartment and has been couch crashing on several people's sofas, alternating who she's with every few days.
• Adora made a public post asking if people had seen her, so feel free to have seen that too.
• After a brief period of absence from the fighting rings for about a month, she's started popping up there again. She's also been seen hanging around Vyonation.
• Finally returned home to Adora, only to head off to Antarctica right after.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:

• Do Antartica log things?? YO hit me up if you want stuff with this because I signed up for it but my brain has been leaking out my ears for the last week and now I have no idea and cannot remember what I planned to do here oops??? I think I wanted to have her take advantage of it in some way but now I think she's just sitting there shivering her butt off and regretting her life choices.
• Have Catra pursue her plot leads with Vyonation and the mob! MORE ON THIS BELOW.

OVERALL GOALS / AREAS OF INTEREST: SO, CATRA IS FINALLY MAKING A BID FOR POWER. I'd like to get other players involved in this as much as possible, both for and against, but since I'm sure there'll be no shortage of "against" characters in the future, I'm primarily looking for people who would like to be caught up in the "for" side right now, whether knowingly or unknowingly! A summary of what this entails--

• Catra is rounding up ex-UNA soldiers and banding them together under her leadership (under the guise of it being someone else's leadership), using a combination of old school manipulation and her powers to subtly encourage them to run an:
• ~*~oLd-sChOoL MiLiTaRy cOuP~*~ ha ha because why not and FUCK THE UNA but also we can do a much better job, right? Right???
• She's getting the backing for this through the mob, but is also working a second angle at Vyonation. If anyone wants to read more of the details on this plot thoroughly they can be found here, but I don't want to get too TLDR here so, IN SUMMARY:
• join catra for the glorious revolution and takeover by which i mean there's no way this plan could go horribly wrong

moving to new beijing for a promotion, potentially?? she's deciding. i'm deciding. there are a lot of decisions. maybe admitting she has feelings for her ex. plot-wise, she'll be continuing to bond with the worshippers and the sacred geometry people to investigate ball's mysterious death.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Fights in and out of the pit, haunting museums and galleries, trying to begin Robin Hood type antics.

OVERALL GOALS: I'm HYPE TO BE HERE. VERY HYPE. For now my hope is to lean into Sarissa's negative traits and exploring those, and gradually starting to expose her gentle marshmallow centre. She's pretty full on, and some of the options I have tossed here are really playing on that and the likelihood of her self-destructing for her initial stretch of time here, but I'm also super keen to build into other stuff.
In the longer term I'd like her to try and find the balance between her self-protective dickery and her idealism.

But, um, my name is Jo and I like reading (mostly YA, with Maggie Stiefvater as the current fave), watching too much TV (Lucifer, Arrow, Avenue 5, Prodigal Son, etc), and too many movies (most of the MCU, Star Wars, I'm a sucker for franchises). My most shameful secret is that while I agree the Cats movie was a total trainwreck, I went to see it twice, and actually kinda loved it.

POWER: Shapeshifting. But in the most useless of ways. Natasha can change her own appearance. A little. Like, she can give herself pink skin and blue hair if she wants. But that's about the extent of it. Her power has no effect on mass, only appearance. So she can't make her hair long or appear taller than she is. It's mostly cosmetic. So that's helpful. Be quicker to buy a wig and colored contacts.
JOB: No job yet, but she needs one. Kinda semi-hoping Bucky's gonna hook her up with his security firm. (She makes a very good, discreet bodyguard. No one is going to suspect the pretty, 5'3" lady on your arm is actually there to protect your life.) If not, maybe something clerical. Administrative assistant at some office somewhere. She's done it undercover enough times. How hard could it be?
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: N/A (though for the record she was saving the entire world, so you're welcome, everyone)
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Natasha has zero capital in this world, and the easiest capital to build fast is social. So she's looking to make friends. A lot of them. Potentially in a slightly manipulative way that could come back and bite her later, but maybe could blossom into a real friendship despite her intentions to keep it skin deep. She'll also be looking to establish herself in the world. Place to live that isn't the safehouse (again, hoping that Bucky will hook her up here), a job (Bucky, please). That sort of thing. It would probably be a good idea for her to resolve some of the emotions lingering from the time before she was taken. Sort of settle the whole "I sacrificed myself for the good of the world, but I don't even know if it worked"-thing.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Figuring out her power and starting to work on expanding it. Maybe some fight club stuff. Accidental emotion sharing all over the place. (Natasha is 0% into that, but tough luck 'cause I am 100% in!)
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Again, Natasha is looking to make as many friends as possible. If you're in the safehouse, she'll try to get to know you. Right now, everyone might be useless as they're all trying to come to terms with their new circumstances but anyone could make a potential ally down the line. So, if you want to skip the whole introductory thing and just assume that they met in the safehouse and like frequently shares meals I am happy to go for it! Unless she knows your character (or a version of them) from her own universe and Does Not Like them, Natasha will make every attempt to get along with them. Also, for people coming through the safehouse who are already settled in this world, Natasha will try just a little harder They have information, money, contacts. They're worth just a little more than her fellow safehouse peeps. (Yes, the calculating side of her sucks. But she's trying to gain some control here over a life that is spinning fast.)
OVERALL GOALS: While Natasha will have absolutely zero interest to join Morningstar (another clandestine organization that can turn out to have been corrupt all along? No thank you) I would love for her to brush up against it. I'd also love to get into weird dream shit and memory sharing. Also, despite her intentions to stay on the sidelines for a while, it would be nice for her to be pulled into bigger world plotlines.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: he laid low (because my life was a mess) but he did lose caroline, his girlfriend, and that sucks and he's mostly going to be throwing himself into his work and i'm going to be really digging in to if things go well.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: with everything going on, marcos is probably going to be concentrating on his little wing of morningstar where he tries to help those that need help. he really works in the resource gathering, relocating to safer places, providing resources to those that need them, etc. he's not really a fighter because he's not great at it.

i'm also probably going to get back into the drug trials that he participated in and exploring the after effects and building some contacts for him.
AREAS OF INTEREST: marcos is really interested in the human nature part of things. he wants to help people more than anything else. he doesn't want anyone to end up alone like he's been left so many times before.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: if you're at pulsar, you probably see marcos a lot but when he's not there, he's almost always in the city, working. he spends a lot of time in the red light district, making sure everyone's okay there. but he's out a lot, going out early and staying out late. he lives with silena in a high class apartment that belonged to his girlfriend that's gone.
OVERALL GOALS: right now, it's just to get myself more involved into things! that's what i need to do.

JOB: He still doesn't have one and needs one stat. He's going to be asking some friends, but if anyone has ideas/cr opportunity I'm totally interested! His big problem is that his main jobs are not real options here, so he's a little aimless.
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Getting settled in! He met a bunch of people, ran into some old friends, poked around on the network a bit, and agreed to be roommates with Kyna. So he's got the basics established now (except for the job), but not much else.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: He and Nate might get into some trouble, but otherwise I don't have any main plans beyond seeing how CR and plot involvement develop depending on what happens, what opportunities exist, etc. Some smaller plans include the 'finding a job' thing, fretting over his friends, possibly discovering/practicing his power, that sort of thing.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Lance is nosy af and I'm definitely interested in him getting in on the metaplot, but he's also very cautious about it after how some things went in the previous game he was in. However, he actually does have incredibly useful skills for this sort of thing and might eventually admit that, because his sense of responsibility is battling his sense of self-preservation.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He lurks around at Red Wings a bit to torment Nate, but also to get to know other Displaced and generally listen to gossip.
OVERALL GOALS: I love to just see how CR, plot, etc develop naturally, so I try not to plan overall goals for long term because who knows how things might go.
