OCTOBER CR MEME
It's October and that means it's time for some spoopy stuff. Hope you like some groovy electro swing!
So, here we go!
◉ Here's the October calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month.
◉ The Arrival Log will be going up tomorrow! It's going to involve a cybernetic modifications festival that's held in the underground tunnel part of New Amsterdam, as a call back to the third arrival log from way back when! It will, of course, also be the means of welcoming newbies. In addition, keep in mind that the safehouses still aren't in good enough shape to house anyone, so this group of newbies will need some help with where to sleep.
◉ On October 14th there will be a plotting post for the mini-event that was triggered by Riverstone making contact about performing tests on the Displaced, as discussed here and here. The log for this mini-event will go up on October 17th!
◉ For a rundown of everything that's happened so far in game, check out our The Story So Far page. This guy is your big ctrl+f friend. It hasn't been updated with the 25th arrival log, but that'll be done soon!
◉ Check out our Setting Page for any ideas you might need about the world at large!
◉ We also recommend that you look over our JOBS PAGE and LOCATION PAGE to get the brain moving. As a quick note: everyone can add and create new locations for New Amsterdam (and develop other megacities)! We'll always review them and reach out to you if any changes need to be made.

AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm a grad student in astrophysics, so I cry about school a lot and will hopefully soon be talking about research more often. I also write, rock climb, do low-level music production, and a bunch of other assorted hobbies here and there.

JOB: Still... Nowhere... He's paying for expenses at this point by doing stuff like winning poker games at shady casinos. He really does need an actual job, but that would interfere with his other plans, and also he just doesn't want to so he's avoiding that as long as possible. OOC though I'm totally open to any potentials here!
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Last month did a whole bunch of stuff, but most of all he made this post, which includes and IC compilation of information that's all sourced. Aside from that he went on a casino adventure, stressed out over a bunch of things, and got involved in a lot of conversations on the network.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: There's some plot stuff he's going to be exploring! One thing I think I've got OOCly pretty figured out but need some IC confirmation for, so that might be something that happens; otherwise he's going to be mostly following up on leads, keeping an eye on the plot going on this month, and trying to generally help things go as smoothly for the Displaced as possible with everything going on.
AREAS OF INTEREST: He's already involved himself in the plot so I've got that, but more general CR stuff! He's getting to know people to some extent through the network and various encounters, but he's not exactly bonding with many people, so I think making more actual personal connections in CR is something I'm particularly interested in.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He mostly keeps to himself a lot, but can probably be found at Red Wings or occasional cafes around town. If you want to handwave having run into him somewhere and had some basic brief smalltalk, I'm good with that!
OVERALL GOALS: IC overall goals are to help figure out enough of what's going on to be able to eventually control how people come and go; he's dead in his world and has friends who are too, and so that time limit is hanging over him in that he can't afford to randomly disappear one day. OOC goals would be to have more character development stuff; there's a lot of unresolved issues and personality traits that have gotten more negative that should be worked on, and I love to see how that's affected naturally by time in game.

I was also in talks with Alex about Ellie and Nathan CR and Lance came up! If nothing else they're likely to run across each other.
(I'm also canon-familiar with Bones and it's both lovely and heartbreaking to see him here, and I would just generally like CR with him because dude)

Ooh yeah definitely, there's a lot of easy potential for them to meet in some way or another.
(Ohman yes <3 I totally didn't app him because I had rewatched Bones and still cried over a certain something happening and was like HE DESERVED BETTER... no... definitely not...)

Also I'm like, mostly canonblind to Ellie aside from the very basics (though I'm not worried about spoilers or anything) but what I do know of her I love so yeeeeees I'm hype for this. ♥

Haha oh boy it's. It's a ride. TLOU1 had some sad stuff but TLOU2 contained very few good things for Ellie, and at her current canonpoint she's not in a great mental place. She's a really fun character without delving into her past, but if you ever want to have Sweets get into any of that from a professional standpoint, I'm fully game.

And yeah pretty much. Given what Sweets can probably pinpoint about her, if that's ever something you're interested in, you have my full encouragement to go off with him about Ellie's... everything.
