It's October and that means it's time for some spoopy stuff. Hope you like some groovy electro swing!

So, here we go!

◉ Here's the October calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month.

◉ The Arrival Log will be going up tomorrow! It's going to involve a cybernetic modifications festival that's held in the underground tunnel part of New Amsterdam, as a call back to the third arrival log from way back when! It will, of course, also be the means of welcoming newbies. In addition, keep in mind that the safehouses still aren't in good enough shape to house anyone, so this group of newbies will need some help with where to sleep.

◉ On October 14th there will be a plotting post for the mini-event that was triggered by Riverstone making contact about performing tests on the Displaced, as discussed here and here. The log for this mini-event will go up on October 17th!

JOB: Still... Nowhere... He's paying for expenses at this point by doing stuff like winning poker games at shady casinos. He really does need an actual job, but that would interfere with his other plans, and also he just doesn't want to so he's avoiding that as long as possible. OOC though I'm totally open to any potentials here!
SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Last month did a whole bunch of stuff, but most of all he made this post, which includes and IC compilation of information that's all sourced. Aside from that he went on a casino adventure, stressed out over a bunch of things, and got involved in a lot of conversations on the network.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: There's some plot stuff he's going to be exploring! One thing I think I've got OOCly pretty figured out but need some IC confirmation for, so that might be something that happens; otherwise he's going to be mostly following up on leads, keeping an eye on the plot going on this month, and trying to generally help things go as smoothly for the Displaced as possible with everything going on.
AREAS OF INTEREST: He's already involved himself in the plot so I've got that, but more general CR stuff! He's getting to know people to some extent through the network and various encounters, but he's not exactly bonding with many people, so I think making more actual personal connections in CR is something I'm particularly interested in.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: He mostly keeps to himself a lot, but can probably be found at Red Wings or occasional cafes around town. If you want to handwave having run into him somewhere and had some basic brief smalltalk, I'm good with that!
OVERALL GOALS: IC overall goals are to help figure out enough of what's going on to be able to eventually control how people come and go; he's dead in his world and has friends who are too, and so that time limit is hanging over him in that he can't afford to randomly disappear one day. OOC goals would be to have more character development stuff; there's a lot of unresolved issues and personality traits that have gotten more negative that should be worked on, and I love to see how that's affected naturally by time in game.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Murphy and Bellamy finally hooked up during the midsummer festival! Good for them! They had a peaceful five seconds and then they got right back to doing what Skaikru do: get involved in things they should ignore and then fuck them up irreperably. Murphy tried getting two steps ahead of Clarke "Genocide Queen" Griffin by meeting up with Rey so that he can negotiate his own deal with Riverstone before a lot of people get murdered in order to prevent those tests.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: He's going to Riverstone, though he's avoiding the testing if he can help it at all. He's hoping to ensure his kru's safety by offering to act as a mole and feed Riverstone information on the other Displaced in the long term.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Murphy goes wherever his kru goes, so anything that involves Clarke or Bellamy also has a chance of hooking him in. He's back on his bullshit and making some shady maneuvers, which might get him wrapped up in other plots around Riverstone. He also (still) hasn't figured out his power! And learning about it will involve getting someone to absolutely loathe him for no reason. Volunteers?
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Murphy lives with Clarke, Bellamy, and Lexa, so anyone who hangs around their place might run into him. He's usually in the kitchen at Red Wings, but when his shift is over, he's been known to hang around and drink for… a few hours.
OVERALL GOALS: Murphy is constantly wrestling with morality and loyalty. I love putting him in positions that challenge him there. His #1 goal is to stay alive, and while he's learning to be less selfish, he makes bad decisions when he's scared. I'm always looking for a reason to get him to do the wrong thing and get involved with the wrong people.

AREAS OF INTEREST: OH BOY EVERYTHING. She's a BCE gal suddenly finding herself in a 26th century world, so very many things will be unfamiliar to her, and that's a trope I love to play around with. She's violent, has a strong penchant for cruelty, and is prone to explosive outbursts and meltdowns (she will freak out about the empathy bond thing), so if anyone wants to deal with that in any form hmu. She'll also be fairly interested in efforts being made to get home, so for those with strong stomachs and a high tolerance for her flavor of bullshit, it'll be possible to work with her - but she's still volatile at best, even with allies.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Hard to say at this point, since she hasn't yet established any kind of routine or found any regular haunts. She will likely be camping outside because she's more used to that than houses!
OVERALL GOALS: ICly, she wants to go home so she can continue her prolonged and obsessive quest for vengeance against the woman she's earmarked as her rival (said rival is less than thrilled about this earmarking and just wants her to go away); it's literally all that keeps her going and is what she's built her entire life around, and she feels that without it she has nothing. OOCly, I don't really have any concrete plans yet; I'm just here to delve into her fucked-up psychology because I find it facinating.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Crimes? Shenanigans? Finding a way to bring Bea Arthur back from the dead? I got nothin'. Open to suggestions, though!
AREAS OF INTEREST: Building up CR, quick and witty banter, and plot-- whether CR-related plot or otherwise. Just gimme those good good character relations.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Wade’s pretty much got a steady shift at Red Wings, so if your character either works there or frequents there as a customer, odds are he’s caught sight of you more than once. He also spends time at the fight clubs as a side-hustle, so you've probably met his fist in your face or vice versa.
OVERALL GOALS: Getting a dedicated circle of friends is my main goal for Wade, but I’d also like for him to actually grow to be less of an unmitigated disaster fire. He can still be a little bit of a disaster fire, though. As a treat.

Also I'd love for him to have the chance to talk about identity because he's been on a fun journey of worthiness that would be cool to share with other characters who are also on journeys of identity and figuring out what to do.

I also came to the conclusion that he's a thot, so he'll definitely flirt with anyone who's receptive to it.
OVERALL GOALS: Good CR connections, at some point I'll have him actually figure out his powers,

→ Big Plan Proposal: Clarke and Stephen put up their big proposal for things for the Displaced. This is here if you'd like to take a look!

→ Being Mean and Controlling to Rey: This is all over Rey's posts.

→ Suppressing Her Pain: She was grieving, now she's mysteriously "OK." But is Clarke really ever okay?

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Clarke has a plan to go into Riverstone and murder some folks, but there is a solid chance that this is going to be shut down because it's a Bad Idea.

AREAS OF INTEREST:

→ Leadership and long-term role: Clarke has been with the game since the beginning. She's been through all of the events (though one she sat out and heard about second hand). She also spearheads the bar with Stephen, so there will be areas there where she is people's boss. Clarke is very people-oriented and will help someone figure out what direction they may need in the world if they're feeling a little lost. If your character needs someone to boss them around, Clarke is their gal.

→ Red Wings: Clarke and Stephen Strange both run the bar! You can see the information on this here. While Clarke wasn't always present in the early Red Wings months, she is present most of the time now.

→ Medical stuff: Clarke can bandage someone up and I can pretend I know a single lick of anything about medicine. I don't. But good news: neither do the writers on The 100.

→ Delegating: Clarke is good at giving other people things to do, so if your character needs a project, she can help. She ... also loves telling people what to do, but I'm happy to have Clarke do what she can to help get your character moving if that's something you need!

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:

→ Medical things! If the thread is just a quick patch up, we can easily handwave this. However, I am totally down for some hurt/comfort if you don't expect me to pay like any attention to the actual medical part of it.

→ Oldbie! Being here since day one, Clarke can help with knowing if someone else's CR has been around before, as long as they've been on the network.

→ Red Wings! If your character works at Red Wings, they know who Clarke is! She is their boss. She has been around a lot more since after the simulation (this was May OOC), so she is a permanent fixture there. She helps with food prep in the morning, and does scheduling. If you'd like to work out someone's dynamic with Clarke, let me know.

OVERALL GOALS: Working toward Clarke either breaking down or pulling her shit together, so stay tuned. She has a support system here more than she does in canon because she doesn't just walk away and insist it's for the good of everyone, because no one lets her get away with that shit.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Hawke's dealt with two fresh losses with Cecily and Fenris, and the trauma of her new super power still weighing on her. She's joined Morningstar but I've been bad about making her do things so I will change that. She's sort of wrapped up her grief and anxiety into voluntarily doing the Riverstone thing and just pretending she's just being reckless and stupid for no reason.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: One of her besties is showing up but she is not one of the besties who keeps her from doing stupid things so. She'll be definitely still doing the Riverstoe thing although she hasn't actually explained to anyone her reasons for it. She really was hoping to go solo but accepts it's not happening now.
AREAS OF INTEREST: I'm looking forward to this mini-plot! I'm always interested in new CR or developing the great stuff I already have
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Hawke is VERY VERY FRIENDLY. She would've started chattering at someone at Red Wings or if they're in the fighting rings or anywhere else. She's chipper and warm and pretty easy to chat with.
OVERALL GOALS: Keeping with everything going on right now and just doing more really. She's a reckless person so we'll see how this thing goes down lol.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: Bellamy had a happy two seconds last month with the festival and then got yanked into the Riverstone testing stuff, which is dredging up a lot of trauma and old guilt/grief for him.
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: Basically, figure out a way to lessen the damage of this Riverstone crap as much as possible, because he's convinced it's going to go badly. I'm sure Murphy's plans will also come up at some point and that will be a mess.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Anything that involves Clarke and Murphy is a good way to pull him in. He's kind of a perpetual helper, so if someone is in a bind, he'll usually try to pitch in. Riverstone is his main priority right now, though!
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Red Wings is the easiest! He also shows up for every new arrival batch and was pretty active during the sim/monster events, so feel free to say your character ran into him there.

AREAS OF INTEREST: the most pressing matter for him right now is that he basically needs to learn how to human. he was raised in a lab to be a superhero and that's literally all he knows how to do, without that he's completely lost and he's kind of a trainwreck to begin with so he won't end up anywhere good on his own. he's also lost his near-invincibility and is going to have to learn that his actions can have very bad consequences now! I am interested in getting him involved in the plot (though his exact trajectory will depend on a lot of factors) and I'm really interested in building some strong CR, positive or negative, because without his powers or vought backing him up he's going to need to actually get to know people instead of just lording over them, which is mostly uncharted territory for him and something I'm looking forward to playing with.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: he's loud and obnoxious and wants to be up in everyone's business so if you want your character to run into him they probably can. he's doing his best to be polite and make a good impression right now but who knows how long that will last.

Love the opportunity for this CR, because the other character will be robbed of some emotion in the process that Blake will have to take on himself.
