Happy Saturday Larkers! Welcome to the third Meadowlark CR meme. Meadowlark is now on its fifth month and going on its sixth. While a lot of characters have settled in and begun to navigate the world of Meadowlark and its plot, others are just arriving and finding their footing! You're free to use the JOB'S PAGE (please add your character's occupation if you haven't!) and LOCATION PAGE to stir up some ideas for fated meetings, long office lunches, underground trouble, or just stir around the plot juices.

CANON: detroit: become human.
CANON POINT: end of game, so spoilers — he's good boy route and they won freedom for androids.
POWER: compartmentalization. taking feelings and jamming them deep down until later.
CHARACTER SUMMARY: connor's an android detective, so he's sharp as a tack and has all of the trope traits of the rookie in a buddy cop duo. even though he's better at investigations by default than most of the officers at the precinct. still, his lieutenant manages to beat some sense into him and instead of a terminator t-1000 type character he's turned into a very strict, very earnest, very protective dog. let him love you! also praise him!
THREE ASPECTS OF YOUR CHARACTER YOU'D MOST LIKE TO EXPLORE: morality, mortality, and friendship.
WHAT ARE THEY UP TO?: connor has a job as a safety officer, going around telling people how to run their businesses with less injuries in the workplace. he's made a lot of friends, he's been investigating a lot of the plot, and he's gotten into an embarrassing relationship with his fellow android markus. more recently, he's rubbing his ass all over meadowlark's murdergate plot, being sassy. please put him in his place, he thinks he knows everything.
GOALS: i'd like more friends and enemies for connor, since he doesn't have that good a balance in the negative cr department even though things are changing. i'd also like for him to focus on others more than himself, since he tends to get wrapped up in his own head.
JOB: occupational health and safety officer. he wants to contact the napd to see if he can work alongside them as a sort of liaison or advisor wrt their safety standards and stuff. everyone has to be more! careful!
ROOMMATES: markus is his forever roommate, but noctis stays over when he's got the depression.
CURRENT HABITS: he loves to walk and run, so he's all over the city. he's also taken very kindly to pubs and the thoroughfare of pubs, oftentimes heading to one for lunch for a snack and a beer/cider. sky parks are frequented, tie stores are frequented, and he's always, always on the go — a workaholic, if you will. safehouse-wise, he tries to help gaby with supply running in and around events.
DESIRED CR: more people to get angry at him, more people he can love, plucky comic relief that can counter his straight man routine, a partner he can work with and rely on in his job as a safety officer, padawans he can teach, people who need chastising, anything and anyone! hit me.
UNDESIRED CR: really nothing, but anything romantic is off the table now. markus greases his joints y'know what i'm saying.

connor realizing she's awful would be awesome too, he'll have to do some thinking about that one but ultimately being displaced from canon tends to numb those feelings a lot. i can't wait for all of this...
outside is definitely a priority, we could even knock out a couple of these ideas while they're out there!!! gotta ask the mods :eyes:

BUT ALSO I adore instances where their different ways of thinking/perspectives shine through. They’ve never really heatedly argued with each other, per se, but I am always down for both of them dealing with personhood growing pains together, whether that entails ups and downs within their overall relationship....gimme

i think they handle things so differently and yet one of their decisions often balances the other's out, so they've got a real good thing going rn. i love arguments and i'm glad they're in the middle of this weird sort-of argument, but we should definitely have more tumultuous stuff ahead — it'll make for a stronger bond, anyway
ARGUMENTS ARE GOOD
and yessssss, connor would give all of his info to markus and vice versa so they make a good team, i want them to get in a lot of danger/trouble together :eyes:
