Surprise, it's June! We've got some new players coming in and we're nearing cap, so it's a great time to kickstart some new CR or work on something you've already got in the works.

So, here we go!

◉ We just had a pretty involved event, so make sure that you check out the Aftermath post if you haven't yet!

◉ Here's the June calendar, which provides a quick rundown of the month.

POWER: Light manipulation, specifically changing the colors of outfits

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: men, tbh.

AREAS OF INTEREST:

» Lottie is a 20something LA fashion blogger with an effortless, fresh style and all the best looks!!
» She is also deeply deeply insecure, has no actual friends, only a followers, and a closely guarded secret that is: her terrible allergies.
» She made a deal with a morally questionable AI for more followers on cooltalk, and she is working hard to promote her channel. Because she is starting from square one she's slumming it a little to build her brand and willing to deal with fellow Displaced upstarts. There's also the fact that deep down, she knows she bought her original followers, and her own sense of herself as a fraud!!
» Generally, Lottie is super oblivious and self-involved, so she's an easy mark for all the manipulative types out there. She also is the sort who might need rescuing from some of the dangers of the setting because she has no real combat abilities and/or common sense.
» Her favorite drink is half-caf lavender cold brew and she will be looking for an acceptable substitute after breaking .

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Omg, you've totally seen her online, right?

OVERALL GOALS:

» Lottie wants to conquer the social media world and be beloved by all!!
» I also would really like to play out something with her allergy attacks. Maybe someone sees her in her terrible snotty state (her worst nightmare, ugh!) or maybe she starts looking for some new and better allergy drugs. Maybe the post-apocalyptic weather makes her break out into hives!! It just isn't fair.
» haters brunch!! lottie wants a girl gang, mostly for the aesthetics of having a girl gang, would you like to be in lottie's crew?

So I kind of really want Glimmer to figure out social media and start doing make-up videos and stuff.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH:

» Moving out of the safehouse???
» Getting a job??
» Trying to help Tony Stark build a de-brainwashing machine

AREAS OF INTEREST:

» Bucky is an ex-sidekick, ex-Avenger, ex-KGB assassin and one-time space cop who now wanders the Marvel Universe in constant need of the haircut that interdimensional kidnapping was so generous to helpfully provide him. He's a soldier who is used to feeling out of joint with modern times.
» Bucky is from a world with superpowers but has never had them himself, a source of youthful insecurity, so having powers will be Especially Weird for him and it is something I want to explore.
» His current character direction is being midwestern (?) and is running a sort of halfway house for villains and mooks who want to reform and go straight, and he'd be interested in at least carrying on the spirit of that work while he's here.
» Is also very much a superhero interested in doing superhero shit, knows of most Marvels by reputation at this point, has a surprising amount of experience w/r/t time travel, alternate universes, creepy powers-granting science experiments, and the like.
» Who wants to discover his angsty backstory???

HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES: Hey, it's that guy who glares at you when you don't make the bed or wash your own dishes in the communal kitchen.

OVERALL GOALS: I'm still figuring this out. I'd like to at least explore the possibility of getting involved with Morningstar!! Bucky is someone who sort of bounces between "crimefighter" and "super spy" and I'd like to at start looking in both those directions.

SUMMARY OF LAST MONTH: ???
PLANS FOR THE NEXT MONTH: I have sort of lost the thread with Gen the past month or so, so I'm going to try to get him out more this month. I'll probably do an open log aimed at getting new CR.
AREAS OF INTEREST:
» Gen is a thief, liar, king, swordsman, but mostly just a total brat. He's from a Mediterranean-inspired fantasy canon where the countries are made up but the gods are real, and he only has one hand because his wife cut the other off. In canon his eventual fate is to become a ruthless ruler of several countries, but he'd like to put that off as long as possible thank you very much.
» He's been here longer than most of the rest of the historicals, so, theoretically, is a good source for explaining things to other poor fantasy canon types but, you know, is terrible.
» Always here to talk and brag about his favorite crimes, complain about time spent in prison, and complain about things in general.
» I'd like to have him make some money by betting on fights at the underground rings, so if your character hangs around that scene it might be a good way to meet.
» Myths & storytelling are important themes of his canon and something I always like to thread about.
HANDWAVED CR OPPORTUNITIES:
» Eugenides steals things, just out of random habit, and if your character is at the safehouse there's a chance he stole something from them.
» He is Clarke's roommate so if your character has CR with Clarke they may have seen him around.

OVERALL GOALS:
» I'd like for his more ruthless tendencies to come out at some point.
» Perhaps one day Gen will actually get a job, we don't know.
